It's partly because they largely have a monopoly on their products in the UK, so it's either them or you don't get Concept2 products. It's very sad to see how a once great company have become. Management couldn't care less, or they would have addressed it.

I couldn’t recommend Concept II more for anyone who is looking for a reliable machine to exercise on. I would not use any other machine for rowing as it truly reflects accurate information for power output and subsequently provide clear feedback on your fitness journey.

It's been a brilliant machine, but clearly suffered some kind of failure last week when I started to row. I initially contacted via Chat but was soon in touch with Elisa in Nottingham. I submitted some photos and within minutes the problem had been diagnosed and a significant new part was on its way to me at no charge. Really, really good service and reinforces Concept 2's reputation as brilliant in their after-sales service - even 16 years later.

United Kingdom | 03 July 2024I turned up today at C2 HQ for help with spares (call ahead is my advice to others - might not have FOH staff) and Elisa was an absolute superstar. Despite my unannounced arrival, she helped me troubleshoot (on the phone!) my model of rower, PM3 computer fault and even better coordinated new PM5 device purchase and someone brought it out to the car. This is above & beyond customer help; in a world of tech giants that don’t offer real-person support. Brilliant - 5* from me *****

I reached out for some help in getting in touch with someone independent who might be able to help fix my broken machine and they couldn't have been less helpful. I understand they don't service the machines themselves, but would have been nice to have been pointed in the right direction instead of just being dismissed. Too much good choice out there these days to consider buying a new one.

United Kingdom | 27 October 2023Having just re-discovered my Concept2 Model D with PM3, I found that when I recently changed my iPhone the update on the ERGDATA app meant that it would no longer work with my PM3. Contacted Monique who managed by magic to come up with a second hand PM5. So now not only do I still have the most wonderful rowing machine available, but through Monique's help am right up to date. As someone who likes to be able to quantify my efforts this is going to make a huge difference and the inspiration to persevere with my fitness efforts. Monique made several calls to me to ensure that this happened and should be highly commended for her outstanding customer service.

United Kingdom | 21 July 2023I have had my Concept2 Model D (RowErg) for 15 years. It’s been brilliant, and nothing has ever broken, but I recently decided to give it a service and some new parts. I ordered them direct from the website (literally every single nut or bolt is available individually, and clearly labelled on parts diagrams) but later realised I’d missed one item and went back to order it about an hour later. I emailed C2 to say they could put it all in one parcel, but was told they had been so efficient it was already in the mail. However, as I couldn’t have known that, they refunded the postage on my second order! Loads of credit to Concept2 for making a great bit of kit, for Concept2 and especially Monique for the great customer service!

The first time was to sort out a PM5 monitor I was unable to update the firmware onto and this time, he not only worked out which bolts I would need to purchase, Concept2 actually supplied the items free of charge and now the SkiErg is usable again.
