I obtained a mortgage through them and I regret it. The most shocking oversight was that the CiT attorney that was present at my closing failed to mail the check to the insurance company, so my homeowner's policy lapsed within 2 weeks of closing without my knowledge. But that example was not unique, just reflective of poor performance and regular mistakes. I have never had less confidence in a financial institution, and now this relationship is one that I feel needs constant monitoring in order to prevent future errors.

The people were easy to work with the loan process was a breeze but the finance manager that I worked with mislead me with the wrong information. I have the emails to prove it! When I asked him to go over the terms he emailed me the terms he did not disclose that If I wanted to pay of my loan early i had to pay the interest that I agreed on as a matter of fact he said there is no prepayment penalty. I called to today to get a payoff and was completely shocked by the amount they increased it to an additional 8,000 extra. It went from 18k to 26 k. Total rip off.....

Lied about fees and interest rate on an installment loan. Attempted to explain their misleading statements and even tried to get us to take another loan after we had complained about their deceptive practices. Don't do business with these folks.

The worst financial institution that I have ever worked with. Completely scammed me. I paid $11,878 over 36 months for an $11,119 Apple iMac. I was fooled into thinking this was a purchase back in 2017. Now in 2020 they want $4450.00 more which amounts to 40% interest. I am of course not paying another penny. CIT Direct Capital has done me an extreme dis service, lied to me, scammed me and greatly hurt me. I think the only outcome will be eventually going to court. The customer service is a total joke. I have been trying for 2 months to find any resolve through at least 10 different CIT reps to no avail. They are disgustingly rude. Stay away from Apple Business also which directed me to use CIT Direct Capital. Total scam!
