Just what we needed. Peace and quiet in the hillside. Soothed by the sound of soft clanging of sheeps bells in the distance. Owner left us welcome gifts as did his father but left us to enjoy the week. Pool was cold and weather not so good for half the week but gave us the chance to explore the island which we thoroughly enjoyed. If you want to de stress for a week then there is no better place to go. Enjoy!

From the first contact to leaving the villa the whole experience was just great,at every step the booking ,car hire were excellent.The villa Stella was everything and more as promised on the description. Only problem was with the directions to the villa from the airport, the BP garage is no longer in existence, so look for the Jet garage, then Mikes Hotel immediately after you will see the blue sign for the German Cemetery the entrance is quite narrow on the right.

I used Chania Rentals for booking villa for my holidays. I was fully satisfied by the service provided. Everything was arranged exactly as agreed, i got a great support, all my questions and concerns were answered. It was important that i could confirm booking via Credit Card as it was most convenient and simple way. The price was more than reasonable and everybody were very friendly. We arranged rental of Hermes Villa during September 2015. I cannot sing the praises of this company enough - any enquiry once the reservation was made was answered promptly and informatively. We also hired 2 cars for our stay through Cania Rentals which were of an excellent standard and also provided child car seat at no extra cost. Very smooth handling of our booking - would definately use this company if we visit Crete again and would gladly recommend Chania Rentals to future visitors to this beautiful Greek island.

We spent a wonderful 8 nights at Villa Dionysus. Our hosts, Katerina and George gave us a very warm, Cretan welcome and regularly brought us delicious home-baked food! The Villa had a wonderful sense of space and accommodated us and our 2 children perfectly. The garden had cool, shady areas for eating and a great pool. The lovely beach is just a short walk away and the friendly local taverna, Piperia serves delicious, traditional Cretan food on a rustic terrace overlooking the beach. A great place to stay!

It is a wonderful house with pool and outside grill house. Nice ground. The house and the rooms are all fine and best. A very nice terrasse upstairs with a excellent view. All rooms have Aircondition and it is pleasure to be there. The bedrooms are verry roomy.

Had an amazing holiday here at margaritas villas would highly recommend, Great service friendly staff and really accommodated us as a family as had our little 6 month old girl with us. Very clean villa and appropriately equipped. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely go back

Lived up to expectations. Clean , plenty of room, great pool. warm welcome and home made cake from owner, friendly cleaner and gardener, fresh fruit and veg from garden. Easy walk to shops and tavernas good easy booking with prompt service

the villa was excellent. inside and out the kitchen was very well equipped with all modcons. It is a beautiful peaceful setting with a great barbecue area. The pool was cleaned every few days and had plenty of room for sunbathing. The villa was cleaned at least 4 times during our stay with clean bedding and towels. The beds were very comfortable and the lounge was great. I would definitely stay there again. Nothing was too much trouble for Chrissie the owner. Malcolm Clarke

We booked our Villa through Chania Rentals for our summer holiday 2015. Throughout the booking process, they provided helpful advice and recommended a Villa that turned out to be perfect for us. Additionally, during our stay, they were very helpful when we our flight was extremely delayed and when we needed assistance with our hire car which we booked through them. We have already booked our villa for 2016 through Chania Rentals and I'd recommend them to friends and family.

A lovely, clean and well equipped villa in the middle of an olive grove - off the beaten track but close to local amenities. Short off road track to villa is a bit bumpy but not problematic. The villa has lovely views down to the sea and across to the mountains. The pool area was perfect - no neighbours so the kids could play and not worry about disturbing others - in the sun all day long so pleasant to swim in too! Outside BBQ was great as was the outside shower. Local stony beach and tavernas about 7 minutes away with Platanios not much further and offering mostly sandy beach and a vast array of eateries and shops. Villa had everything you needed - we didn't use downstairs bedroom suite as it felt a little far away from parents upstairs - sure it would be fine for older children/other couples though. A lovely holiday was had by all!

We stayed at this absolutely magnificent villa the last week in August. it is in a lovely location and perfect for families who do not wish to hire a car. Our children of 10 and 9 did not want the holiday to end. The village of Kalyves is perfect for families and has many tavernas and restaurants to choose from. The incredible hospitality of Katerina and George, the owners, was outstanding. We were greeted on arrival at the villa by wonderful aromas with traditional home cooked Greek food in the oven and a fridge stocked with fruit cheese and other goodies. It was a truly amazing holiday made even more special by the wonderful hosts.

The trip was a surprise for my husband's 40 so planning had been key, a surprise until the minute we arrived, there was nine in our party spanning 3 generations. From the minute we arrived at Geana Villa it was fantastic. We were met by the owner Natasha, she was lovely, she had a bowl of fruit, water and a couple of bottles of wine ready for us; this was a lovely touch. Natasha showed us round in a leisurely manner allowing us to view all rooms and spaces. The villa is very well equipped, has fantastic outdoor space and brilliant views. Contact details were left by Natasha in case of any query or problem, contact was not required. The villa was cleaned during our stay and was as clean as the day we arrived. The villa was very well positioned within walking distance of the local town 15 mins walk, there are a number of hills so a car may be preferred for some even if staying local, but essential for anyone looking to explore. (I'd recommend Anna Cars, they were extremely good). The main town of Chania was 25 mins drive from the villa, with many shops and places to explore. A visit to the mountains and Botanical gardens is well worth a visit. The town has a number very good restaurants and some small supermarkets for essentials; I'd recommend a visit or two to Olivi restaurant it was fantastic whether a drink, snack or dinner we were welcomed at any time. This is a fantastic place for larger families, with brilliant facilities and a fantastic host who was available if needed. Thank you we will be back :-)

We booked villa at short notice with Chania Rentals and it was a very easy process. We paid a deposit by credit card and the balance on arrival. The Chania Rentals site was easy to navigate and all our questions were swiftly answered by email. I would recommend Chania Rentals and Villa Marina which was very good.

We had a first class experience through Chania Rentals. The website is pretty easy to navigate and the email replies from them timely and hugely helpful. They secured us a great villa as well as very competitive car hire for the 2 weeks we were on Crete. They even arranged for the car hire company representative to greet us in the arrivals lounge of Heraklion airport with our name on a board. Highly recommended and I would not hesitate to use again.

Excellent service from Chania Rentals, always answered my queries promptly and professionally, reassured us that the financial crisis in Greece was not affecting Crete. Arranged an excellent car rental for us, where we were met at the airport and the rate was cheaper than elsewhere. Villa fantastic, top quality. It was easy to use their website, pay balances, book car and download excellent directions. Would def recommend and use again if we returned at a later date.

We stayed at the villa in August. It is a lovely villa, beautiful gardens and not far from georgioupolis town. The only thing I would reccomend is you must have a hire car with this property as driveway in and out is the typical Greek off road experience. We were fine with our 2 wheel drive but would recommend people to get a 4 wheel drive as you ll be more comfortable. The owners are lovely, always willing to help you out, they supplied us with some food and water. The owner also gave us some raki which was a nice gesture. Would definitely recommend this villa, just lovely.
