Took out the policy. Paid the first months premium, then received an phone call out of the blue requesting access to my medical records from a company acting on behalf of Beagle Street. Ummm nope sorry I don’t just go around sharing my medical records with people I don’t know. After a call to Beagle Street and some investigation it turns out it’s the underwriters. Why no communication about this…. Poor! Be aware even when you think your policy is sorted it’s not. I cancelled my policy and requested a refund.

Been with Beagle Street since 2014. I am a 29 yr old woman who was told by the dr on the day my son turned 4 months old, 8/12/21 that I have leukaemia. In 2017 I had a convulsion my husband called to inform them of my epilepsy once i was diagnosed by the doctor. We request that phone recording. They have cancelled our critical illness cover and all cover, life insurance everything. They have looked into our claim and cancelled it because according to them, we didn't inform them of my epilepsy. Yet low and behold after I send a well worded letter they suddenly find the recording and my husband did in fact tell them about my epilepsy and they were happy to proceed with our contractual agreement. Wow! I am having chemo as we speak, tomorrow I have a blood transfusion yet here I am writing this review. The stress you have caused me and my family is unacceptable and immeasurable. Do not go with this company, critical illness cover cancelled without telephone records backed up. Shocking service, shocking contractual agreements which have to be fair in a court of law. Avoid at all costs, also saying I never told them about my polycystic ovaries in 2016, what's that got to do with critical illness? I was told it would be very hard for me to concieve a child, absolutely devastating news and I was somehow meant to at the time to think oh how terrible, let me call Beagle Street they need to know. NO that's not how life works, if you are told awful news about wether or not you can have kids you don't think to tell your life insurance company that I didn't think CRITICAL ILLNESS COVER requested such information only something which could be I don't know, life threatening, like ummm cancer!!! Which I have and now and after 8 yrs you won't pay up. Trust me I would much rather not be having to make such a claim and have my life back to normal and enjoy raising my son. That money is nothing to you, your a multi million pound company. So do I have to contact you everytime I went to the dr about a sore throat, was assessed and diagnosed. Is that what your telling me because that's the same thing isn't it. 1 in 3 women get pcos so what's that got to do with critical illness? Your claims team are samaritan trained?? Really, no member of Beagle Street has shown any remorse or compassion to my husband or myself and freedom of information request I want the actual numbers of claims you pay out for, I do not believe you pay out 99.8% claims per your website considering the trauma and loops im jumping through for what should be a claim that is 100% upheld on your part. I have contacted the financial ombudsman and FCA sent another notice to Beagle Street as they refuse to answer the questions from my first legal notice sent. Scottish Friendly still looking into it, both parties are deferring onto the other and won't take full responsibility. Atrocious business.

Declined because I am a type 2 diabetic which is controlled by medication but didn’t bother asking. Wouldn’t recommend them at all.

Have used Beagle Street for life insurance for many years, quotes always competitive and dealing with them is easy, either online or on the phone, they made the whole process simple and straightforward.

Be very careful! ‘Computer Says No’ My husband took out a policy and made an error with the date of birth ( scrolling to the year, he slipped onto the wrong year and didn’t notice). As soon as we got the documents in the post he contacted Beagle Street. They were unable to change it and said he should cancel and start again ( bit annoying in itself). So he informed them, in writing, that he needed to cancel that policy and took out another. They did not cancel and both premiums were taken. So, contacted them again (not easy - they make it hard for you to email…with very long reply times etc.) Now they are saying it’s too late to cancel as it’s later than 30 days. On we go, wasting our time and money. It doesn’t bode well…
