Yuk, these pies have changed dramatically. I think the company has sold out and quality is zero. My husband opened his chicken and mushroom pie and the contents were so small, two teaspoons would have been too much. Stringy chicken, one mushroom. Disgusting. We threw them away so ended up with broccoli and potatoes. Dreadful. They used to be good, but now, horrid, over priced. Waitrose, get rid of them, they are not doing your image any good.

The best fish pie everrrrrr!!!! Just imagine my 17year old daughter who doesn't like fish was converted after tasting this pie. Amazing!

They’re the best takeaway meals I know! Real quality. Most Saturdays we have either the tikka masala or the Thai curry or another one, because they're so good. Fish pie is also delicious, way better than any others I’ve tried. Particularly like the steak and ale pies in little ceramic dishes...love the dishes, and am glad to have them to use again afterward! We did try the ‘full pastry pie, steak and ale, and were disappointed. Disappointing pastry sadly, & it didn’t seem to go with the stew inside. Also thumbs up to the packaging! You are leading the way Charlie! Thanks for creating such delicious take aways!

I have always loved the steak and ale pies in the little ceramic bowls. They were a special treat. However, the recipe has now changed and they no longer have the lovely puff pastry, thick gravy and large pieces of steak. Instead they are packed in what appears to be thick paper casings and the pastry is thick shortcrust with the filling being a few small pieces of steak and I did find half a slice of carrot in my pie. I could not eat this pie and at £9 for two they were a complete waste of money.

Hi I usually buy these at reduced prices but have managed ti have quite a few and found them all excellent, I would eat them all the time if it wasn't for the price but I guess its a case of you get what you pay for and this is real food! Some of the other brands I am convinced the box would have more taste than the product.

These meals have become our new ‘Saturday Takeaway’. The Tikka Masala and Jalfrezi actually taste better than our local restaurant . No, they are not cheap but then you do get what you pay for and in Charlie Bigham’s meals..it’s quality! We have tried a few of their meals and enjoyed every one of them and we are fairly fussy when it comes to food. Don’t be deterred by some of the negative reviews, I suspect there’s a fair bit of rivalry in the food provision world! Try them for yourself ....but leave enough for us next Saturday!!

Just started to eat a steak and ale pie this evening. The first mouthful was very salty and also tasted of vinegar, my husband found his pie to be the same. Both pies had to be thrown away as they were not edible. A waste of money.

I have just eaten Charlie Bigham's Fish Pie, the word fish is a misnomer as there was no fish, what a rip off. Quote from Charlie- We never cut corners or compromise on quality, how he has the gall to make this statement.

I bought Charlie Bigham’s chicken korma ready meal for two from Waitrose recently, I shared this and although it doesn’t look like a big portion in the packaging, once served on a plate there is plenty for two people, lots of chicken as well. This korma is as good as any Indian takeaway, will definitely be getting this one again.

The very best 'ready meals' ive ever had! The beef stroganoff and Tikka Masala are excellent as are the meatballs. They are not suitable for microwave cooking but are excellent and 5*

I'm reviewing Charlie Binghams fish pie for one. This company should not be labelling this product as fish pie. I had not one piece of salmon, cod or haddock in the dish just creamy mashed potato. This product completely breaches the trades description act it should be labelled mashed potato! It's a complete con I paid £4.75 in Tesco for mashed potato it's a disgrace.

Noticed that Charlie Bigham's lasagne contained bacon with nitrites and nitrates. Got in touch with them about this. Got a dismissive response indicating they were not concerned. Obviously take their customers for granted. Not me any longer.

Was very impressed initially by the flavour of these products. I then took the trouble to look at the contents & discovered that they have 5 to 10 times as much salt as other similar products by other manufacturers. That's what brings out the flavour! This is cheating in my opinion & certainly does not justify the high prices charged.

I have been looking at these meals for ages and today I decided to buy the fish pie and I was so disappointed, four small pieces of salmon and four small pieces of cod in the whole pie, I don't know what happened to the haddock. Very expensive, I do not recommend and would not buy again. I think you are paying more for the fancy wooden container the pie comes in, that is thrown away, than you are the actual food.

I have just read through all of the reviews and cannot believe the amount of people that have bought C.B's meals that must be Michelin starred Chefs! The ones that have left negative comments and low star rating must be so good at cooking meals that we must bow before them. I will confess that I have not tried all of C.B's meals but the ones that I have have been 5*****! I cannot comment on the fish pie because I do not like fish! Steak & Ale pie, most of the curries, Mousaka and others that have been tried have not been disappointing. A small tip to the folk who use the "ting" machine favoured by idle people .... learn where the big red switch is to TURN THE COOKER ON!
