I've always been satisfied with buying brushes from this company.

I was very concerned when I read the reviews about GreatArt on Trustpilot but I decided to place my order anyway, as the oil painting paper in the large size I wanted wasn't available at any other art shop in the whole of the UK. I received a confirmation of my order immediately, and on working day no. 6 after I placed my order, it arrived in perfect condition. The quality of the paper is great and the packaging is too. Having looked back at the reviews on here, if you expect an Amazon-type service where you receive numerous emails about the dispatch and tracking of your item and you want it delivered very quickly then order from Amazon. But if you want high quality art products with a much wider range of choice and you are able to wait a little longer for them to arrive than we have become accustomed to in our fast-paced 'I want it yesterday' society, then GreatArt is exceptional and you will be as delighted with your products as I am.

horrible after sales service. My item never arrived so i emailed customer service to find out what happened to my package and that i need it urgently for a work trip. The customer service came back to say they can't find a record of my item and that they will get back to me and i replied reiterating that i need it urgently. After a couple of days still no word so i decided to ask again. They then replied saying that they have problems with their courier and that they are resending it the next day! This is after telling them multiple times that i need the item urgently so i dont see why they can't make the effort to ship it out the same day. Obviously i was not too happy and i voiced my displeasure only to be replied in a very curt manner by their staff saying that they already told me the item is gonna be shipped the next day like i'm some bumbling fool. I gave up and ordered my item from Amazon not knowing when the GreatArt package will be arriving. That's when i found out that almost all their items are obscenely overpriced! I've never faced so much grief buying stuff online in my entire life. Never again.

Really tricky bunch this lot, just had my phone bill that was double the usual amount all because I phoned “great art” firstly to order materials that I then had to chase up as they were very late arriving after the deadline that I had explained to the seller when ordering - so don’t be fooled by the prices these crafty rascals bump it up with the lolly they make cheating you over the phone no doubt orders are deliberately sent out late so us suckers call them up to find out where they are - they must be laughing all the way to the bank - I will never order from them again and there are a couple of hundred artists at my art school and I will warn them all of this sharp practice.

Ordered a paintbrush from them online, after 2 weeks i had to contact them to find out where it was. Told it had been dispatched and must have been lost in transit so they would send a replacement. Brush arrived a week later, it had simply been put loose in the envelope with no protective cover on the bristles and had a chunk missing from the handle! Very disappointing service, will not be ordering from them again.

Great shop, it has everything you could possibly want if you’re looking for art materials... as well as free tea & coffee & a loo! (Because of course, you’ll want to spend a long time shopping when you visit, and shops with toilets are rare in London!) They frequently hold workshops in store too,so it’s always worth checking out the upcoming events calendar ahead of a visit

Dreadful service. Delivery not by UKMail but by Royal mail with no tracking info. Tried phoning and phone never answered just an awful recorded message. Emptied basket and then received an e-mail thanking me for my order. Plagued by e-mails with so called special offers which is usually a sign of poor service. Will never use again and would recommend that nobody else does.

I have purchased materials from GreatArt both online and instore - shopping at the store in Shoreditch is great because you can see and often test out different products in the flesh; plus the staff are very helpful! I find it useful looking at the different paints and canvases to see how they look in real life as the paints all have tester patches in front of them; often multiple swatches and the downstairs area which is dedicated to canvases and other ways of display art has a canvas wall where you can feel the raw materials. The shop stocks a comprehensive range of materials that any project you are undertaking you should be able to find what you need. I also appreciate the free workshops and space to doodle and enjoy a coffee! Ordering online is also good because whilst the shop has a lot of products the website has an abundance - there are things on the website I didn't even realise existed materials wise. The range of products is spectacular and I find the site easy to navigate which is great! Plus the promotions are amazing - the prices are already good but the showcase on the homepage of items on sale is really helpful! If I have had to call customer services because I had a query about a product I have found them to be courteous and helpful at all times. I've been buying stuff from GreatArt for over 7 years and will continue to by all my materials from GreatArt because they have a great range and prices that are hard to beat!

This company is absolutely useless! EVERY time I order from them I get the same result so I try to avoid them at all costs but sometimes they are the only place that have the items I require. As usual it has been a catalogue of errors from the get go. No email confirmation of the order, no invoice, no notification that the order has been dispatched, no tracking number, either as a link or on my account page and so on and on. At each and every stage I've had to chase up what's happening with it, they sent some of it which turned up with no notification so I wasn't expecting it... luckily I was home but I've had parcels left in the rain before now which is not good for canvases! Delivery was supposed to have been handled by UK Mail which is in the process of being taken over by DHL, but they decided to hand my parcel over to Royal Mail and now it's missing! Then I phoned G.A customer services, which is a PREMIUM COST NUMBER I might add, only to get more flannel about depending on when in the day it's handed over to R.M it may delay delivery by another day so now I have no choice but to allow an extra day for something I paid for nearly two weeks ago. Furthermore, they are VERY sneaky and don't tell you your order isn't coming from within the UK but usually Germany. The service is shocking and not good enough and I advise everyone not to use them.

Poor service - I ordered 2 weeks ago and still not received my items as apparently they were returned to the sender. I was not aware that the products were dispatched from overseas either otherwise I would have bought from elsewhere. I phoned customer service and they have assured me my items will be dispatched today and be here in a couple of days but I remain skeptical.

They seem to open their shop on a weekend but if you order online they deliver[ they say] in 5-8 days but don't count Saturday or Sunday as days! Thus my order went in on 22nd Sept. [Sat.] and still has n't arrived on 2nd October. This would count as 10 days in a normal person's life. When phoning Cust. Serv. a very relaxed person seemed completely unphased by my disappointment. The goods supplied are a good price but you don't need to want them in a hurry. I mean, they don't manufacture, all they have to do is get them off the shelf and post them. Very poor service indeed.

I have made two purchases with Great Art both were bad experiences. I ordered some paper which was sent to the wrong address. By the time I had recieved the paper, after speaking to customer servies online and on the telephone, 3 weeks had past. However they were apologetic which prompted me to try again ordering some Canvas which never arrived. I phoned customer services and was told the canvas was on its way back to Germany after failing to deliver. I had know idea it was coming from abroad to begin with. I had know email or tracking details so it was impossible to check where it was. No Sorry we missed you card. Then I was told I had to wait for it to get back to Germany before I could get a refund. Providing tracking details would of avoided this mess up. Also no appology about the canvas.
