Oui, le choix est vaste. Oui les prix sont hyper alléchants. Mais, comme pour tout, il y a un revers de médaille qui n'est pas forcément très explicite. Il faut absolument voir ce site comme proposant des "versions d'essai" permettant de se faire une idée avant d'acheter le "vrai" produit. Soyons clairs, si vous voulez faire un achat pour essayer un thème ou un produit, c'est le site qu'il vous faut. Mais si vous comptez là-dessus pour tenir votre site à jour, là, vous allez vite vous confronter à un souci. Lorsque j'ai acheté mon produit, on me proposait l'achat pur et simple du produit à un prix, il est vrai, défiant toute concurrence (on économise parfois pas loin d'une centaine d'euros) et c'est assez étonnant. En vrai, quand on sait comment fonctionne le CMS Wordpress et les extensions qu'on y ajoute, on finit par cerner la chose. En fait, les mises à jour sont régulières sur ces types de produits (jusqu'à plusieurs fois par mois) et quand on achète sur Worldpressit, on achète une version du produit à l'instant T. Et on reste sur cette version ad vitam sans pouvoir la mettre à jour ensuite. Comme chacun sait, une extension ou un thème n'étant pas à jour met considérablement en danger votre site. Mais heureusement, pour une somme tout aussi modeste, vous pouvez acheter pour chaque produit une petite option vous donnant accès à des mises à jours régulières à vie ! Tout ça pour quelques euros. Autant dire rien du tout. Une fois souscrite, vous recevez un mail du site vous expliquant ceci : "How I get an update? Every time the official author of any Plugin/Theme you've purchased/downloaded releases an updated version, we will send you an email with the link to download the file. We're the first to know when an update occured!" Ce qui veut dire : "À chaque fois que l'auteur officiel d'un plugin/thème que vous avez acheté met en ligne une nouvelle version, nous vous envoyons un email avec un lien pour télécharger le fichier. Nous sommes les premiers à savoir quand une mise à jour arrive !" Alors oui, mais non. Dans les faits, c'est un gros NON. Et en plus, lorsqu'on soulève le souci, le service client se montre assez sec dans sa réponse. Ce qu'il se passe en réalité, c'est que vous recevez effectivement des liens de temps en temps, mais pas TOUTES les updates, et il m'est arrivé fréquemment de passer des semaines avec une version de mon thème alors que Wordpress m'indiquait qu'une version était disponible. Mais étant donné que vous installez manuellement une version précise sur votre CMS via le site, vous ne pouvez évidemment pas faire celles automatiques proposées par Wordpress. Du coup vous vous retrouvez coincé et totalement dépendant du bon vouloir de l'équipe du site. C'est quand ils veulent et si ils veulent. Donc, faites très attention au moment de souscrire. Si vous cherchez un peu à tester les fonctionnalités d'un plugin ou thème, ça peut aller. Pour 5 euros, on se mouille pas. Et si jamais vous aimez, vous pouvez souscrire la version officielle auprès de l'éditeur. Mais en ce qui concerne ceux qui auraient les yeux qui brillent en voyant leur option de mise à jour à vie, ne vous faites pas d'illusions, parce que dans les faits, vous n'aurez pas TOUTES les mises à jour. Si vous voulez un produit stable, allez directement auprès de l'éditeur. Comme souvent, quand c'est trop beau pour être vrai, c'est qu'il y a un souci.
