United Kingdom | 26 February 2025Had a massage with Karun. He was polite courteous and professional. Maintained dignity and informative with what he was doing. The massage delivery itself was exactly as requested

United Kingdom | 14 February 2025Friendly reception, good explanation from therapist and considerate massage. The warm bed was a delight, never had that before. I know they have to make a profit, but upselling, having already selected an option online should be carefully watched. They obviously have higher margins.

United Kingdom | 13 January 2025Canning town branch. I am not gonna go into details, but I have booked a sports massage and I have not received the service I asked for at all. I have paid a lot of money for this introductory service as a customer and I am very unhappy about the unprofessional service I have received from the moment i entered the premises to the moment I left the company. I also felt pressured to give my bank details to them at the end of my session. I would not recommend this place, unless you are use to bullying and unprofessional service.

United Kingdom | 17 December 2024This company is terrible, they do not pay their staff members. Disgusting! I am her mother I wanted to put a message on here as I am disgusted & I will absolutely not be removing this review (especially as she has still not been paid!!) as this is disgraceful that Beth has still not been paid for the work she has done, (maybe instead of going back and forth with me on here your priority should be to arrange for her to be paid as a matter of urgency baring in mind she has been all over and has not been given any mileage / fuel etc and STILL HAS NOT BEEN PAID. Gavin only responded to her email after an email was sent to your contact page on trustpilot. (To me that is not working to resolve this at all) Just for content for anyone else reading this, an email from Gavin was sent to my daughter Beth on 11/12/24 advising on the hours my daughter worked my daughter responded to this email on 13/12/24 with the hours etc which were fair and honest and I’m sure if we wouldn’t of emailed the contact on here she still wouldn’t of had a response from Gavin. It’s actually laughable, who ever is responding to this review page maybe needs to send another email to advise when Beth will be paid as this is from November and we are nearly in January and it is not acceptable. Maybe if you paid her for the work she did it and she didn’t have to chase it wouldn’t haven’t gotten to this. I will only think of removing the review when she has received her pay check.

United Kingdom | 13 December 2024On July 25th, I had a massage at the Camberley Branch, after a particularly stressful drive to get there. I parked in one of their designated spots but, unfortunately, I wasn’t informed by the staff that I needed to log my car registration, despite them knowing I was parked in their space. The massage itself was fantastic, and I left feeling thoroughly relaxed and rejuvenated. However, to my dismay, I later received a parking ticket in the mail. I appealed the ticket and spoke with the Camberley staff, who agreed that I should have been advised to register my car and mentioned that my receipt should suffice as proof for my appeal. Despite providing evidence, my appeal was rejected, and now I have received a letter from a debt collection agency demanding £170. I plan to reach out to the branch again, as I believe they should be able to get this ticket cancelled given that I was a paying customer!

United Kingdom | 12 December 2024Great experience at the Reading branch, reception staff were warm and welcoming and my massage with Megan was so relaxing. She identified some points to work on and I signed up to a membership when the centre opened so I feel assured that we can sort my aches and pains :)

United Kingdom | 03 December 2024I really enjoy going to The Massage Company Harrow for regular massages. I love the ambiance of the place - dim lighting, relaxing music, the smell of essential oils from the diffuser - and I enjoy my sessions with my massage therapist. The massages are always relaxing and it's also nice to just have a little chat. There is one little thing I'm not entirely happy about when it comes to the service here - I prefer 'half-past' appointments as this fits in better around my work, but every time I book an appt for 13:30 this gets bumped to 1pm or 2pm. I understand that you want to fit in as many clients into the day but this is really annoying. Whilst I have a great experience every time I go, I am concerned about the welfare of your massage therapists. I gather that some of your massage therapists are feeling overworked, underpaid, and undervalued. I hope management can address this by speaking to their massage therapists and doing what they can to help their therapists feel more valued and motivated. I, and many others, would be very disappointed to lose our go-to massage therapist. I'm sure TMC would also be disappointed to lose one of their most popular massage therapists. Edit: I've dropped my rating from 4 stars to 2 after your response.

United Kingdom | 28 November 2024Really welcoming, great massage. Therapist Karun was brilliant, looking forward to a return visit. After just 20 mins my back is feeling better. So glad they opened in Reading

United Kingdom | 28 November 2024I have visited The Massage Company for a few times now to treat an issue with my shoulder from playing tennis. I can safely say my shoulder is feeling better and better after each session after joining the membership. I have tried different therapists and all seem to be able to effectively treat the injury. I enjoy the routine of coming once a month, it seems like this is what is needed Thankyou TMC

United Kingdom | 27 November 2024The massage I recently received from this company was not as nice as it appeared. Despite their professional appearance, they are not. You would imagine that scheduling a soothing massage with them would be one of the best ways to unwind and feel content. You are completely incorrect. Their primary objective is to defraud you of your money for time-wasting services. Let's start at the beginning: they are the friendliest to you (sell) whether you schedule your massage in person, online, or over the phone. They inquire about your preferred massage kind, whether you would want to use aromatherapy, etc. You are asked to fill out a consent form on the day, and then you are allowed to use the restroom before being shown to the room where the massage will take place. Yes, everything you wear will be covered in oil. There won't be a shower room or single-use underwear. You will be questioned about extras once more after you enter the room, even though you would have booked the massage with them if you wanted them (sell again). They give you a minute to undress and lie on the massage bed, and believe me when I say that it's only sixty seconds before they knock on the door to let them in. That's not relaxing. Every time my body was touched, the cold oil they used on me caused discomfort. Personally, I thought the massage was mediocre and unrelaxing. They began with my back legs (head and feet not included, extra charge) and moved on to my lower back, and upper back then arms, hands. Excuse me, I thought it was a full body massage, but then someone asked, "Because of the time, should I do your front of the legs?". That was a hurried massage, not a soothing one. Without a shower room, they use a hot towel to clean your back after the massage and give you a small hot face towel to clean your entire body. They leave the room to give you another sixty seconds to put all of your clothes on your oily skin (don't wear anything nice). That's my question. How should I do it with this little towel? After you let them in, they ask how you're feeling and give you a piece of paper that indicates where the tension was found and how many massages you should schedule in the future. The experience feels like a supermarket. You are practically pressured to sign up for a monthly subscription at reception, even if you don't want to at that moment (sell). I had to decline eight times and leave without feeling any better. Two days after the massage, I started to feel pain on the left side of my neck, which has persisted until now despite my use of painkillers and inflammatory cream. In addition, my right hand was pulled, I believe with excessive force, and I was unable to close it or hold anything since then. I will NEVER, EVER use this company again, and I'm willing to wager that any response I receive from them will be incredibly generic with promises to improve, etc. I still experience pain that I shouldn't, and I'm not at all at ease.

United Kingdom | 22 November 2024Absolutely avoid this place! i had a full body massage in Canning Town over a week ago and the next morning woke up with pain in my hip. I tried calling and emailing but no one bothered to get back to me and I am suffering until now. I am waiting for any sort of acknowledgement and fixing my problem. Total disgrace and no customer service whatsoever.

United Kingdom | 14 November 2024I had a wonderful massage recently at the High Wycombe site. Great therapist who listened and understood my needs and what I wanted from the massage that day. He had the perfect balance of checking if I was OK throughout but also leaving me to relax. A great massage and I felt amazing afterwards for days, I will definitely return.

United Kingdom | 14 November 2024I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my experience at The Massage Company, it was just lovely, peaceful and heavenly! The whole experience was so relaxing, the staff were welcoming, accommodating and make you feel really welcome. Thank you for a beautiful experience.

United Kingdom | 14 November 2024I've been a member for some years now, inc through Covid. The massages have been consistently good, from many therapists as the team keeps growing. There's a sense that someone really cares about this business and the quality of the service right across the team is always great. My life and health is so much better for the regular massage, the mental health as well as the improvement in my muscles - it allows me to do so much more. Strongly recommended.

United Kingdom | 11 November 2024Similar to other reviews here, I had a frustrating experience cancelling my membership at he Canning Town branch. I emailed my cancellation request in writing back in June 2024. An employee wrote me back acknowledging my cancellation request and to arrange my last massage as I still had a credit remaining. Fast forward to today, they are still charging my credit card unauthorised membership fees. It's a shame because their massage therapists are good but their business practices are unethical and downright fraudulent.

United Kingdom | 10 November 2024I recently visited this massage company for relaxation. I was initially impressed by their offer of a free 10-minute massage for NHS staff and a promotional rate for a 50-minute massage with a free upgrade. Unfortunately, my experience did not go as smoothly as I expected. Firstly, there was an issue with the booking and payment system: I was charged upon booking online but had to call to request a refund, which was eventually processed. My appointment was rescheduled twice with the explanation that "the therapist left." This repeated cancellation was both inconvenient and disappointing. The most troubling part, however, came with the final charge. Despite the offer initially including a free upgrade, I was unexpectedly charged for it. When I questioned this, I was told that the voucher I had purchased didn’t include the upgrade, despite previous communication suggesting otherwise. In summary, while I appreciate the initial NHS-friendly gesture, I recommend that future clients take a photo of their voucher, track any charges carefully, and be prepared for potential rescheduling. Unfortunately, this was not the relaxing experience I had anticipated.
