My insurance went from 400 euro to 1000 euro once i made a claim for a small accident that was my fault. What is the point in having car insurance when you make a claim and the price goes up this much.

an post, as an insurance agent representing different insurance companies has suggested the change to a cheaper insurer, which almost halved my monthly rates. that is a service i would expect from an agency and i fully appreciate their approach.

Do not get pet insurance from AnPost! Absolutely terrible insurer behind the policy. I made one claim which was paid but then they tried to raise my premium by 35% saying it was because of my dogs age & breed 2.5 year old and a small pedigree . They also said his acute illness was acturially judged to be chronic and was now a " preexisting condition" and wouldn't be covered any more ! They tried all this on an automatically renewing policy and when I blocked the renewal they got angry and I had managers phoning me and getting angry , why was beyond me . Most unprofessional and they didn't explain the premium hike and couldn't explain it properly . Do not insure your pet with them. The insurance company is not to be trusted
