Little bit of run around with customer service trying to hoodwink me into paying a higher premium but managed to get it lowered. Customer service is good (which is a massive compliment in this day and age). Lowest premium I've had in years so happy out (can definitely save when you shop around).

Everything from I rang and got talking to a person. The quote I got online was best I got. Reasonable and affordable. I can't understand the same insurance varied so much and it was gonna be the same insurer.

An Post website is easy to navigate; its possible to speak to someone, who is knowledgeable about An Post car insurance policies; the process is clear and fast; and in my case, I am a new customer who found the entire process a pleasant experience.

I sent a package abroad with insurance with An Post. It contained jewellery worth around €400 and was told it was insured. However, my package was lost and despite months of efforts, no solution was offered! First they said the package had arrived in Germany, but the wrong content was delivered to the recipient! Neither An Post nor DHL Germany take responsibility and are forwarding it to each other
