We rented a small car for two weeks. Completely hazzlefree, we were very happy with the service. The Maki person met us at arrivals, where he had the car ready to inspect and we were on our way. On departure, same good service as the same person met us at departures and swiftly received the car with no problems. As per our experience, I can highly recommend Maki!

We arrived in Mauritius and had to go looking for the agent. I took full comprehensive insurance however was told that wing mirrors and tires where not covered. When I inspected the car it was old, the tires had very little tread on them. The millage +_ 59000 km. The car had scratches and dents all over that we where careful to document. The shock came when we opened the door, the car smelled of stale sweat the car was so dirty we did not want to touch anything. There where crumbs thread bare carpets bits of paper dirty roof lining for panels dash etc I called the Mauritius agent asking for another car. They agreed. When I got to the other car about 30 km away the new driver was so rude we decided to leave. My wife and I sat for half an hour wiping the car down with wet wipes just to get it acceptable. I drove a full day with the car, I was wearing a white shirt when I got out my shirt was Brown and marked from dirt. The car was not given to us with a full tank of petrol. We had to ask for the exit slip from the parking area and money just to get out. What an awful experience. I have photo documented proof of the state of this car.

I had rented a car which had no problem however on the return of the car the person would just not listen and wanted me to pay for dent which may have been there on arrival of the car. I told him to review the car but they would not listen. i would highly recommend please see the cars from all angles before taking the car out from them. Otherwise the car never gave me any problem. At the end of the agreement i had the pay extra money of MUR 2300.

Made booking last minute less than 24 hours but the team able to confirm us shortly and delivered the car to hotel on time. Reasonable price included GPS, additinal driver and full insurance package, highly recommended! One surprise was they provided us the new car, Mitsubishi Mirage, first one to drive, despite the car performance and power, this is the additonal credit in terms of customer service, exceptional experience.

Super little car company, deliver straight to hotel. The guys who brought our car and collected it were just lovely and great fun. They did not use any dodgy car hire tactics like I have come across in europe where you end up with unexpected extra charges. This is a good honest car hire company.

Used Maki for five day car hire in Mauritius - excellent new Hyundai I20 delivered on time by courteous employee gave me a thorough briefing of how to drive an automatic - my car @ home is manual. You do need an automatic in this country due to the slow drivers and obstacles encountered on the roads. Collection was a little late but was kept informed and it was no fault of the company employee - would defiantly use again.

A driver brought the car at the airport. He wasn't at the arrival hall but arrived after we waited 5 minutes outside. The pick it up from the airport was very good; the driver was already waiting for us (we arrived 5 minutes earlier than we said). Car was as hired; We recommend this company; the prices are much better than other companies.

I would definitely suggest Maki to everybody looking to rent a car. Affordable price paired with great service and great car. I was absolutely surprised. Easy check-in and check-out at the airport helped to speed up the process. Definitely a 10 out of 10

Everything starts with nice emails and promises until you make the payment and get to the place. That's when the lies and unexpected charges start! We accidentally hit one of the wheels with a deep road bump and oil started leaking, so the car wouldn't start. They came to pick us up and the breakdown took the car (as anyone would have expected). What no one said until the following day was that we needed to pay 1,000 euros to fix the car!. And that taking into account that it is clearly specified in the reservation that we had a FULLY COMPREHENSIVE COVER. We tried to reason with them, that obviously the expenses would be covered by the insurance (that's what they are paid for!) but they would keep making nonsense reasons to make us believe that we needed to pay. And we had to!!! 1,000 euros to fix an oil leakage!!!! Then they couldn't get us a replacement car as big as the one we had hired, and they refused to compensate the price difference too! The new "car" even had no seat belts. Tried to convince them to give us any other car with seat belts but they simply refused. We felt completely deceived and lied. Do not believe what's written on your reservation. They will just lie you into paying in case you had such bad luck as we did. I honestly want everyone to avoid using the service of this company if you wish to enjoy your holidays wherever you go!!!

We hebben een online reservering gemaakt voor een auto op mauritius. 2 dagen voordat we vertrokken. Alles was binnen een uur geregeld. Op Mauritius aangekomen stond er op het vliegveld iemand ons keurig op te wachten. Auto was inclusief gps. Bij inlevering konden we direct de auto kwijt terwijl we 2 uur eerder waren dan afgesproken. Goede service. zo krijgen we een aanpassing op de inlevertijd tijdens onze boeking zodat we geen problemen zouden krijgen met het inchecken op het vliegveld. Een minpuntje was de verouderde GPS kaart.

Good service and great extras. The free Sar Nav has a tour guide on which is a nice addition when you are driving somewhere new.

Der Fahrer hat trotz der Flugverspätung (1 Stunde) mit dem Wagen immer noch auf uns gewartet. War freundlich. Das Fahrzeug war sehr sauber und technisch vollkommen in Ordnung. Es war ein gleichwertiges Model mit dem wir sehr zufrieden waren. Spritverbrauch gering. Sehr gute Klimaanlage. Bei der Rückgabe nach zwei Wochen haben wir per Mail darauf hingewiesen, dass wir eine Stunde früher am Flughafen sind. Auch hier war der Abholdienst rechtzeit da. Die Rückgabe war unkompliziert und wir haben den Kreditkartenkautionsbeleg wieder zurückbekommen. Vielen Dank gerne wieder

Auto gut und sauber, der Tank hätte einen Tick voller sein dürfen (2 von 12 Balken). Das Auto wurde zum Hotel geliefert, dort auch wieder abgeholt und der Fahrer war pünktlich. Hatte ein professionelles Schild mit meinem Namen dabei, damit ich ihn erkenne und auch die Übergabe war professionell, sehr gutes englisch vom Maki Car Rental Mitarbeiter. Vorgemerkt für den nächsten Urlaub :) Preis auch gut.

Website is user friendly making it easy to book and pay.Rates for the. Hyundai i10 reasonable.Vehicle was neat and delivered to hotel on time. GPS provided was excellent. Small disappointment was getting a manual instead of an auto.

This is the fourth occasion we have used Maki in Mauritius. As usual a polite customer service agent was waiting at the airport, just outside the terminal, with our name on a board and quickly took us to the car nearby. We had a trouble free car hire service and returned the car back to the same gentleman at the airport on our departure. We like using Maki as it is easy and very reliable.

La location s'est globalement bien déroulée,avec un véhicule, certes pas de toute première jeunesse, mais qui nous a donné toute satisfaction. Par contre nous avions demandé (et payé) le GPS, mais celui-ci n'a pas été livré avec le véhicule et il a fallu attendre une journée pour en avoir un (à noter par ailleurs que Maki n'a même pas pris l'initiative de nous proposer un remboursement de la location du GPS pour la journée perdue... Même si cela serait très symbolique quant au montant !). Quant à la ponctualité: livraison à l'hotel avec 40 mn de retard,... Et ensuite 1h10 de retard pour le rendez-vous de restitution... Vraiment dommage car le service est par ailleurs très pratique et le site internet pour les reservations est très fonctionnel.
