Comfort of travel with excellent driver, extremely knowledgeable, interesting and friendly tour guide for the duration of our tour. Requests were always met with satisfaction in a polite and friendly manner. On arriving in New Delhi at 5am I was met at the airport and transferred to my hotel, the same with my departure. Our two week programme was excellent, all places we wanted to see were included and more. Our eight seater coach was super deluxe, air-conditioned, Wifi, there was always water and snacks if needed. Having our tour guide travelling with us each day made our journey in Northern India more interesting than we thought and loads of fun. We ended our three week with six nights in Delhi. I strongly recommend Indian Excursions Co for touring India.

A fantastic trip to Rajasthan with Indian Excursions. Planning and booking the trip with Madeleine was so easy with clear guidance on where to go, hotel suggestions and places to see. Shiv managed the ground arrangements, with everything running as planned. It was greatly appreciated that we had a high quality vehicle for our 2 week trip, along with the same guide and driver allowing us to build a rapport. This was by far our best planned and executed travel experience our family has had. All we did was surrender, knowing that every detail has been taken care off and just in case we changed our mind about anything that was addressed and adapted in a smooth manner. I’ve never had a holiday like this as usually I was the organiser and could never truly relax, always thinking of the next step - Indian excursions allowed me to really enjoy the carefully selected activities based on our wish list. We felt like royalty, watching our dream trip unfold. The customer service was impeccable, from the top to the team on the ground. Everyone was available at all times. The guide provided to us was knowledgeable and also very mindful for our family dynamic, so we never felt he was intruding. However he noticed small details the we preferred and arranged without fuss. When I asked for restaurant recommendations he asked questions and based on those chose a restaurant and gave a meal we will never forget. Our favourite experience of the trip, if I had to choose one, was the private musical performance with a home cooked meal in a small boutique family style heritage hotel. There was even a guide for the performance explaining the traditional instruments, way of singing and history of dance. I could go on and on. Highly recommend Indian excursions- I know we will use them again as our love affair with India has just begun,

Unlike other Tour Operators, Madeline started with what interested us with our travel (activities, accomodation and timing) and what didn’t we like and budget. She then designed an itinerary that included a few special extra things (private balcony dinner at Agra, Dining in an elephant sanctuary and staying in a Palace) that was perfect. When we landed to the time we flew out, Shiv was on hand ensuring our arrival, travel and activities ran faultlessly. I have a food allergy that all of our accomodation and restaurant booking had been made aware of and accommodated. Ranthambhore National park (tigers and the incredibly rare Jungle cats) and the our walk and dinner with Elephants at Dera Amer in Jaipur were our highlights as was the privilege of staying at Rajmahal Palace RAAS Jaipur. Last minute requests were arranged as were restaurant bookings. Special thank you to our wonderful guides (our guide in Agra was exceptionally knowledgeable and even travelled 2hours on a bus to arrange a surprise tour of Fatehpur Sikri on a travel day. Lastly our driver Manu made our trip relaxing and stress free. How he navigated traffic, always had a smile, advice and kept in a running commentary when we didn’t have a guide with us was remarkable. Definitely a holiday we loved and the only tour company to use while travelling to Rajasthan.

We appreciated that this trip was planned for us after speaking with us about what we really wanted to do. We know that we did things that we wouldn't have thought of doing, block printing workshop for instance. Having both spent more time than is good for you in fancy hotels, we loved the smaller hotels Maddie and Shiv found for us. We had the same driver for our whole trip, and he was fabulous. PS we saw tigers, too.

We booked a group tour with Indian Excursions in February 2024. The care we received and the attention to detail was second to none. Knowledgeable and efficient, they are a top team. The tour ran smoothly, the accommodation was of an excellent standard and the guide and driver were first class. Madeleine worked with us tirelessly to provide a fully immersive experience for us and our group. The organisational skills are superb. She was on hand, together with Shiv while we were away in India and nothing was too much trouble. When one of our group contracted Covid they helped us manage the situation. When three people had their return flights cancelled they respond to a desperate phone call in the middle of the night as the airline in question had been unable to provide a hotel room. They went above and beyond what we would have expected and I would have no hesitation in recommending their services.

We came back a few weeks ago from our dream vacation to India. I think back to it every day. We travel a lot and I can only say that we have never ever had a trip organized as well as this one by Maddie and Shiv at Indian Excursions Co. It was perfect from beginning to end. Had there been any issue at all, they were just a WhatsApp message away. Maddie listened to what we were looking for and put together an amazing itinerary where you could tell that she listened to the wishes we expressed in our call. She added extra details like cooking in Delhi, a walk with elephants in a sanctuary, block printing in Jaipur. She even organized a cake on our last night as it was my birthday. And got us great seats on our domestic flight. Pick ups from the airport and the hotel were always on time and our driver Sanjay is just awesome. Very safe driver and extremely nice. The car was comfortable and clean. We had different guides in the different cities we were in (Delhi, Varanasi, Agra and Jaipur) and they were all excellent. They were knowledgeable, friendly, great English, and it felt like walking around with a friend. They knew their cities in and out and could take us to their favorite Masala Chai places, helped with shopping and really helped us get to know India. They had patience and answered our questions and were very flexible. The hotels, oh the hotels, they were fantastic. Couldn't be happier with the ones Maddie booked. We said we wanted to stay in Indian styled hotels with high standard and we got that and more. Each city we arrived to had a representative greeting us and helped with check in and going over the itinerary. Very helpful. We couldn't be happier with our trip and will recommend Maddie and Shiv at Indian Excursions Co to everyone. Thank you for making our trip so special. We will treasure our memories for ever.

From starting the process to create our holiday, time during and finally finishing, it was an amazing, hassle free and genuine experience. Indian Excursions were able create a be-spoke experience which completely met our specific expectations. Their attention to detail was outstanding and even though we had a jam packed agenda we never once felt too busy, as we never had to worry about anything. Even late changes were no problem to Maddie and her team. If you decide to do other areas of India, you'd have a guaranteed customer from the Hirani family. Rakesh out driver was absoutely amazing and took really good care of us! Always calm and chirpy! Our guides were really knowledgeable!

The entire process, from planning to traveling, was seamless! Madeleine was available to answer all of our questions and hear our requests. She planned an amazing itinerary for our group of 17. Shiv met us upon arrival and was our point of contact (along with our guide) throughout the trip. They checked in on us multiple times and were always available via WhatsApp for questions/requests. We all had an amazing time. The customer service Indian Excursions provides is unmatched. If we travel to India again, we will travel with Indian Excursions and will recommend their company to friends/family.

We, three moms traveled with six kids between age 10 to 15 and most of the kids were visiting India for first time. So, we wanted them to enjoy the journey and have real cultural experience. We also wanted to have flexibility to change the planned day activities. Madeleine planned everything according to our needs. The guide Devi Singh Rathode is most knowledgeable and kind person. We were meeting him and the driver first time but never felt as stranger. Also, our family was more worried about our safety as we traveled alone with kids, but the Indian Excursions Team made the entire journey very safe and organized. This trip is one of the memorable vacation we ever had.

I first started planning a trip to Northern India pre-covid with the intention of travelling in the latter part of 2020. I sent a brief to 3 tour operators describing what my husband and I wanted/would like to see and do, plus some specific hotels where we wished to stay There was an additional requirement for internal travel by plane where possible, having experienced India in the past and the time that travel can take on Indian roads, [although we were pleasantly surprised at the huge improvement in infrastructure since our last visit 10 years ago]. I sent the brief to three operators, including two of the biggest UK providers and Indian Excursions itself. I can’t even remember how I came across Indian Excursions but I am so glad I did. From the outset, Madeleine was extremely responsive and the only operator who seemed to actually read the brief, so by default became our preferred choice. The arrival of covid then changed all plans and it was only earlier this year (2023) that I felt ready to resurrect them again. Madeleine, as always was quick to respond and together we tweaked the initial itinerary and plans were set for travel in December 2023. From the moment we landed in Delhi to the point when we left India, almost three weeks later and after covering thousands of miles from Shimla in the foothills of the Himalayas, to the arid regions of Rajasthan, including Jaipur, Jodhpur and Udaipur, the organisation and experiences were faultless. Hotels were excellent, guides very good to outstanding, Sanjay, our primary driver calm and careful no matter what traffic conditions he faced and in Delhi they were very interesting! Administrative meet and greets at each new hotel stop, including airports, provided seamless checking in and checking out support. Madeline organised a dedicated Whatsapp group to include herself and Shiv, the co-owner of Indian Excursions and who takes care of operations on the ground. Any queries we had would be answered immediately and Madeleine would check regularly that all was proceeding as per itinerary. At one point she asked me what was our favourite experience to date. That was a hard question because every experience was unique to us but the thread that held it all together was the work the Indian Excursions had put in to the organisation. Every detail had been thought through and that allowed us just to enjoy the breadth of the tour with all the minutiae dealt with by Madeleine and Shiv. If you are looking for a tour operator that really listens to requirements and then delivers everything and more, then I recommend Indian Excursions unreservedly.

He took us through Old Delhi, New Delhi and Agra with so much comfort and ease. He is very knowledgeable of all the historical sites and took care of all our special requests.
