I underwent the interview process and took 3 hours out of my day to write multiple copies for product descriptions and other online content. The marketing manager, Taylor, didn't offer me the job because I didn't "complete the copy on a separate document." Seriously? If they are this needlessly picky about following instructions, then you likely won't want to work for them.

United States | 12 February 2021Fun and interesting extensive selection of grocery items. Stocked up on a variety of sauces, seasonings, pastas. Prices were reasonable. The packaging was hysterical! Everything wrapped extensively...just like my Italian in-laws! Nothings going to break on delivery with this packaging. I have saved the box and wrapping for my son's next move! Fast delivery. All good. Will be a regular shopper there.

United States | 12 February 2021I've made at least four purchases from Supermarket Italy and have only been happier with each one. The site is easily navigated and has a great variety of products from different countries. The Sicilian lemon jam was wonderful and the Greek olives are being finished by the jar full ! Every single item is carefully wrapped in either a thick layer of bubble wrap or sturdy brown kraft paper. Never any breakage. We get to try new items that we might not have tasted in the past because it's so much fun to shop here.

United States | 11 February 2021Outstanding! I found website when in search of Fregula Pasta and Clam Juice for a recipe I wanted to try. All my local grocery stores have limited specialty items. I got carried away because of the gluten free selections they had as well. Over a $100 later for items I just came across and ordered, I got nervous because of snowy weather. All items arrived timely, undamaged, and extremely well packed with care. Box was on porch when I got home from work. Thank you Supermarket Italy !!! 🇮🇹

After having received multiple confirmation of guaranteed delivery for orders place on dec 11th well before the dec 14th deadline I too got part of it well after Christmas. Unfortunately it was supposed to be a gift. After contacting customer support multiple times to complain the only answer was "sorry". So the question is still "what guarantee are we talking about ?"

United States | 27 December 2020This is the worst store ever, they ruined my Christmas plans! Placed the order on Dec 11 for things needed for Christmas eve and Christmas. They shipped part of the order on Dec 17 with standard shipping, 1 week FedEx, and the other part on Dec 21, with a faster shipping apparently. The items shipped on Dec 21 arrived on Dec 23, the remaining were delivered after Christmas. Christmas was ruined!

United States | 09 October 2020Boxes of pasta, cheese, and meat showed up full of weevels. What's a weevel? It's a beetle that lays it's eggs and then hatches on/around grains. Yum!!! $200 worth of food covered in these things. I asked for a refund. They said I had to mail the box back to them? WHAT? Mail you a box of bugs? 1. That's illegal. 2. I'm not putting that box back in my house, then in my car, then into the mail to mix with other peoples mail. That is absolutely disgusting. But, it's their "policy"

Their prices are OK too and, most important for me, they have Pantaleo goat cheese from Sardinia, my favorite; too bad though that you have to order a full wheel (5 or 6 pounds), but I guess I will end up doing it next winter, when it is cold and cheese is no longer as fattening as it is in summer (starting around Thanksgiving, cheese turns into a diet food; try it!)

I called and could not get through, then emailed. they refunded some items, but not all, so I have to call/write again. looks like out of stock items were on my bill, but not packed, so be very careful when checking your order. edit: changing to 2 stars. I have been refunded for my missing items, but it took 2x calls and 3x emails to get the money back.

United States | 17 June 2020Terrible!! Crooks !! Saw their ad on Facebook. Wanted to help small business. Went to their website. Ordered over $50 of their food- nothing outrageous-- all readily available. They had my money in 2 minutes. Next day received an email acknowledging order, but no delivery date. I emailed twice, asking for delivery date. Response was “...maybe in 10 days...” Finally delivery came- packaged very un-professionally. Food was warm. The chunk of speck had white specks under the wrapping. The paper ingredient list was old falling apart paper. Have not eaten any because it may be bad. Never ever again-- these people cheat OLD CRIPPLED LADIES.

Their prices were great, plus they gave me free shipping for ordering more than $50 of merchandise. They packed everything very securely. I'll definitely do business with them again, and frankly found them to be a great company to deal with. Grazie mille!

United States | 26 April 2020during the covid pandemic they not only charged 12.99 for a 5 pound bag of flour, you must place at least a 20 dollar order so I had to buy 2. When they arrived they had expired in November 2019. it is now the end of April 2020. They suck.

United States | 24 April 2020Shipments arrived when promised(2weeks). Some items did not arrive with the shipment. I emailed each day for three days and got a response on the third day with a simultaneous message left on the website directly. I received two courteous responses. I assume I reached two different departments. One rep said they were sending the missing products to me except an item that was now out of stock and the other rep gave me a refund because I disputed it on my credit card probably. We enjoyed the products that were shipped and we were probably just a little anxious over the missing items and the delayed response but it’s understandable with the pandemic situation. We will use the service again.
