After getting over the initial security questions, my query was dealt with without delay. Penelope was able to advise that the problem is the result of a BT Open Reach's outage. So, we don't know how long it will last but at least I know the problem is beyond my control, and will wait for its resolution. Thank you again, Penelope.

I have not had internet since then, been trying to just get someone to chat with but to no avail. I have sent technical support emails but not a single person has gotten back to me and I am here still using my mobile data. Am I asking for too much here? I just don’t get it?!
