France | 14 September 2023Suite à un dégât des eaux, la société Belfor nous a été conseillée par notre assurance, mais cette société n’est vraiment pas sérieuse, voire malhonnête. - Concernant la peinture : facture des échafaudages au prétexte que les plafonds sont à 3 mètres mais n’utilise pas d’échafaudage, peinture faite autour des caches d’interrupteur, il a fallut que nous leur disions de les retirer pour que cela soit fait correctement. - Pour la pose du parquet : facture un sol et une sous-couche soit disant qualitativement équivalente à l’existant et arrive avec un parquet et une sous couche au rabais. Cela fait 6 mois que nous attendons désespérément qu’ils nous posent un sol de qualité égale à celui que nous avions. On nous indique des dates d’interventions pour lesquelles nous nous organisons avec notre travail pour être présent et on ne nous prévient pas des changements de planning. En plus de tout cela, les personnes que vous avez au téléphone sont très moyennement aimables et il ne faut pas compter sur une quelconque excuse. De cette société nous ne retenons que l’incompétence, le manque de sérieux et d’honnêteté et ce, à tous les niveaux. Bref, à fuire ! (J’ai dû mettre une étoile pour pouvoir mettre un avis mais si j’avais pu, je n’en n’aurais mis aucune)

United Kingdom | 24 August 2023I can’t thank the team of amazing tradesmen especially the 2 Colin’s josh and all of the tradesmen who went above and beyond their remit , when fixing my bathroom after water damage caused to my ceiling and walls! Not only did they fix this damage but as I had to move out of my property in Dennistoun whilst the work was being done, they also kept me updated almost daily and occasionally gave me a lift to my temporary accommodation as I had fractured my ankle! My bathroom is stunning and I get complements on the workmanship! One of the joiners actually returned after the job was done as he wasn’t happy with the finish on my bath panels and put in different fittings to ensure it stayed in place! Can’t thank you all at Belfor enough in making a stressful time easier and absolute delightful experience! I have never written a review before as I have never had such excellent service! 5 stars. United Kingdom | 11 August 2023Blame the insurer in my case ZURICH that sent the company to your home and the loss adjusterMCLARENS who instructed Belfor... 3 site visits, each as incomprehensible as incompetent as the other. Every visit was recorded on my domestic CCTV .. the most interesting dialogue was the whispering that took place between the Belfor operatives when I left the room, I watched the dialogue on real time from my phone in my car. Unsurprisingly the report drafted by Belfor for Zurich bore no resemblance to the statements made on site. Claims that we were entitled to claim for were closed ... and so began the Gas lighting from the Insurance company and the Loss Adjuster ... watch your back, this is a public interest story, the claim(s) were opened in Spring 2021 and have yet to be settled ... I am data organising to submit evidence to my Solicitor

United Kingdom | 26 July 2023In common with other reviewers, my experience with Belfor was incredibly disappointing. They were appointed by my home insurance company (Admiral) to dry out a concrete floor after a water leak. It took them 6 weeks to actually start the work and their staff were the most unhelpful workmen I have ever dealt with. The person in charge, who was very young, spent most of his time on the phone asking a superior what he should be doing, which didn’t exactly fill me with confidence. 10 days later the floor was pronounced dry and a floor covering contractor came out to measure up. He pointed out that the floor was still damp and couldn’t proceed. This means that Belfor were either incompetent or dishonest in issuing a drying certificate, possibly both! I have refused to have them back in my house which seems to have stymied the insurance claim handlers (Claims Consortium Group, see separate review) who can’t seem to grasp that a different company could be appointed who might actually be up to the job. Never, ever deal with these people if you can avoid it.

In 2019 I contacted one of the property managers and he came out to my house because some taping that they had done to the ceiling started to come undone. @ that time the property manager came out to my house and had told me that the work was covered under warranty and that he would get someone to contact me about dates but that they were very busy. I have many text messages going back between myself and this property manager. Since then I have been in contact with 2 new property managers both who understood the situation and both who said that it was covered and that they would have someone contact me to arrange a date to do the work. I also have emails from both of those project managers. Now when I call the office they are telling me that it is no longer covered because Belfor only covers for faulty workmanship for a total of 5 years, even though I have texts and emails dating back to 2019. I was very patient at the beginning because they had told me that they were very busy due to all of the storms and staffing issues. And I realize that the taping job is not nearly as important as someone who needs a roof replaced or has a home they cant live in due to storm damage. That being said a company going back on their work and going through 3 project managers in such a short period of time. Not one of them following through with what they had promised is just extremely unprofessional. please do yourself a favour and avoid this company at all costs. You will save yourself a lot of time and aggravation in doing so. I’ve reached out to the company so many times and made them aware that I was going to contact the BBB before I made any of these posts and they did not seem to care. They ignored the BBB when they had contacted them to try and resolve the issue.

Spain | 28 June 2023Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, I can’t seem to post pictures of my apartment which this cowboy company absolutely trashed, claiming to be working over a 4 week period but turning up for 2 days max. If you’re in Scotland please avoid them like the plague. If Colin Bayne turns up at your door, keep it locked at all costs. Another snake skin salesman for the company.

United States | 25 June 2023Very unprofessional company. Poor work, unresponsive, performed work without permission. Tried to bill me for work outside our signed agreement. No change orders. Never finished the job. Had to hire a lawyer to sue them and recover my funds. Read other reviews, almost all customers are unhappy and have had the same experience. Shame on the owner of this company, no honor at all.

Understandable However 6 days later and NO-ONE on behalf of painter has called to let us know when he will be back. We called Belfor and their message advises that our call is important to them. Rubbish One and a half hours we were waiting on their Emergency line and when we got through got an unsympathetic apology. Advisor new nothing about the works. Appalling service Avoid if possible

Then no communication at all. It was Christmas/ New Year so I understand they may be busy and short handed but they could at least communicate with me. Very poor service.

France | 18 November 2022L’organisation de travail et tâches répétitives n'encouragent pas les salariés à rester (d'où les nombreuses entrées et sorties). Absence de reconnaissance du travail accompli, beaucoup de pression. L'atmosphère qui règne dans les services est très pesante et empêche souvent une bonne circulation des informations importantes des dossiers à traiter. C'est seulement le chiffre qui compte, et non la qualité ou ce qui se passe dans les services. Il est facile de pousser à partir plutôt que de trouver des solutions. Management ainsi que la gestion à revoir !

United Kingdom | 08 November 2022Belfor were appointed by my insurance company to pack up my home clean my belongings and put into storage until my home was fit to occupy after fire and smoke damage in May 22 my furniture and belongings were returned in September 22 when another company had finished all repairs and decoration. all my property was dumped in 3 downstairs rooms the carpets were supposed to have been cleaned I could have done better with baby wipes they were soaked but not cleaned. As I unpacked boxes I found nothing had been cleaned at all items still had sootwebs attached others covered in black soot from the fire I found many items missing some small and some larger items I have made many phone calls to them and been told they would look into it and get back to me not once have I had a call from them to explain where my missing items are why items came back uncleaned and why carpets not cleaned a total joke company no customer service skills at all

Il est impossible de les contacter et quand par miracle on a une personne en ligne , celle-ci est absolument incapable de donner une réponse et vous dit que votre demande sera transmise . J'attends toujours des réponses Il m'a été impossible d'avoir une date de travaux cohérente . Au prétexte que mon mur était humide en octobre et alors que celui-ci était sec dès le mois de février (mur testé à cette date par un ami) , Mes travaux auraient du avoir lieu ce mois de février ou en mars. Ils ne sont venus tester mon mur qu'en avril et ont différé leur intervention au mois de juin. J'ai finalement du faire les travaux moi même , doutant de leur capacité à respecter leurs dates données sous condition.

Denmark | 09 May 2022Lørdag d.30 april fik vores nabo Vægterparken 160 vandskade. BELFOR kom og borede kl0530 så alle var oppe. MEN der blev parkeret foran vores HANDICAP parkering. Heldigvis var chaufføren kørt inden vi skulle ud og køre selv. I dag d. 9 maj starter de så forfra. Kl 0745 kørte min kone og 5 minutter senere kommer BELFOR og satanedme laver den samme parkering. Vores naboer er ligeglade og det ender så også med BELFOR er... DER ER 3! pladser fri på den anden side af hækken. Vi har betalt for den parkeringsplads, pga min Sklerose. ØV.... Og de holder der stadig efter denne anmeldelse...

Eventually, last week, some of my contents was assessed and put into storage but the job was not completed. My car is now full of my stuff because I have nowhere to store it as my flat is uninhabitable after flood damage. To get to this point, we had numerous phone calls (when they were answered!) and visits where either something was done wrong or nothing was done. It's been an absolute joke, and now my contact refuses to respond to me to finish the job. You honestly couldn't make it up. I can't explain how ridiculous the whole thing has been. If I could give zero stars I would. Utterly fed up.

France | 13 June 2021RDV pris avec Belfor mandaté par mon assurance après un dégat des eaux. Initialement prévu à 13h, on me demande d'y être dès 12h30, ok, pas facile car je viens de province en avion le matin même. 11h50, la personne laisse un message pour me dire que personne ne répond à l'interphone et.... s'en va! Je la rappelle dans les 10mn pour lui dire que je suis dans le RER et y serai à 12h30 comme prévu. Le rappelle 3 fois dans la journée. Rien. Je dois rappeller la société 2 jours plus tard pour me voir proposer un RDV 15 jours plus tard. Sauf que l'été approche et je risque de me prendre 2 mois! La personne à la prise de RDV n'y peut rien, soit... si on était client direct on aurait peut-être plus de prise, là ce n'est vraiment pas rassurant.

France | 29 October 2019suite à un dégât des eaux j'ai contacté cette entreprise (BELFOR agence Ile de France) spécialisée dans la remise en état en mai 2019; depuis, il y a eu un RV sur place bâclé pour décider de la stratégie de restauration. Ils ont ensuite installé des machines début juillet pour assécher les murs qui ont tourné pendant 2 mois sans rien assécher. Un technicien pas au courant du sinistre est venu retirer les machines début septembre et le technico commercial Belfor a annulé sa venue sans prévenir. Il devait faire le devis des travaux. Depuis, soit depuis bientôt 2 mois, je n'ai reçu aucun devis ni mail ni téléphone; J'ai envoyé des mails restés sans réponse. L’appartement est inhabitable depuis 6 mois. Voilà le bilan de cette entreprise qui se moque totalement de ses clients. A FUIR ABSOLUMENT (sauf si vous avez beaucoup de temps er d'argent à perdre)
