Switzerland | 04 April 2022The weakest link in an otherwise excellent service is the editorial department. That department seems to be; -only keen on selling an edit plus service to everybody, even when I submitted an already edited manuscript, received the same proposal. -when I took the edit plus service, it took four months instead of the promised 6 to 8 weeks and I had to send several reminders. There seem to be no control over deadlines for delivery, and I hope that it is not a case of over burdening a few selected or favored editors with contracts. -The evaluators are not the caliber I expected. Other services provided like thos of editorial consultants, production of cover design and printing and dispatching as well as marketing services were excellent.

United States | 22 March 2022This was my first book and didn't know what to expect. The staff walked me through and made the process very easy.

United States | 18 March 2022I was lied to a lot about what was happening and the processes. I was left disappointed and incredibly upset. I did not get what I want nor what I specifically asked for.

United States | 12 March 2022I had a great experience with Iuniverse I highly recommend them to anyone.

United States | 09 March 2022Reed Samuel was very good in getting my book through the printing process, but the development of a website (blog) was less satisfactory.

Australia | 04 March 2022I paid $1300 (AUS) to have a new cover put on an existing book ('The War Within'), and some editing. It took six weeks for Samantha Anderson to put the new cover on my book, ignored my request for a copy of the manuscript to do the editing, and Erin Cohen has refused all requests to speak with her supervisor about the incompetence that was involved .

Canada | 04 March 2022Very professional from the start and after that. Virtually no problems, and any were dealt with immediately. Roll out was quicker than expected. Great job!

Canada | 09 February 2022I joined Iuniverse about a year ago. When I first started everyone was very helpful and my coordinator checked up on me. After a few months I was not having much luck on my novel and suggest that I reach out to them. About a year later, (yes writters block was real) I was not having any luck on my work and was thinking bout dropping it all together. I reached out to the Manager of opperations to see what my options were. I received an automated "out of office" message, the next month I emailed again, "out of office" message. The following month I received a "due to covid" (which is a mute excuss two years into the pandemic). I called customer service who said they would relay my message and I have still yet to hear from anyone. I paid a hefy price to be apart of Iuniverse (as I live in Canada) and to not even receive an email back is beyond frusterating. I was willing to hear my options but now I just want my money back and I think due to their blantant and horrendous lack of communication and what I can only preceive as unethical buisness practices I should be given some, if not all of my money back. Who runs a company like this. Envok section 4. Termination and Refunds - where THEY choose to terminate my agreement prior to fufilling, as I have not given them a single part of my novel nor given them just cause and fall within the right to get my money back. I wonder if I had told them my novel was done and ready to go, if I would hear anything back?

United States | 26 January 2022IUniverse is a reputable establishment and legitimate self publishing route. They have a long standing history in this field and a liaison with the film industry which gives them an advantage over other self publishing companies.

United States | 20 January 2022I corrected all the mistakes I was presented with, but there are so many more mistakes in the final printing of book, that were not presented to me.

Canada | 18 January 2022Slow and more focus on trading than supporting the client to achieve win win deal between the client and iuniverse

United States | 17 January 2022Hello! I have now paid 8k to publish my memoir. I feel that I should be hearing from the editor by now. I have started a blog and have some hundreds of views on it. I'd like to write that the book is available. Otherwise, I'd give 5 stars. The two children's books I published are a bit flimsy in the hard copy form. I have nothing but praise for Renzo over there. The work number on my project is 835834

United States | 14 January 2022UNiverse support is top rate. Comprehensive services. My only complaint: a comprehensive overview of the service progression and options would be helpful. Otherwise, keep up the excellent service.

United States | 07 January 2022I was undecided as to whether or not to publish my first book, "Unconditional - Love and Life with Greyhounds". On my initial call when I hesitated an advisor said, Are you afraid to fail? (I was.) "If you don't do it you've all ready failed." And so after over a year due to Covid and life's interruptions my book is published and available. The process was thorough, and the suggestions were more than helpful Because the support was there I was able to finished I cannot thank iUniverse enough for all their help and guidance

Canada | 20 December 2021iUniverse really assisted with the elevation of my manuscript. Their attention to detail during each stage of reviewing, editing and compiling took the added stress and pressure from self-publishing off my shoulders. I’ve been left feeling confident with my published work, and highly supported with the aftercare care services they’ve suggested in order to aid my marketing and promotion. I’m giving 4 stars opposed to 5 because of customer service response time, and the undisclosed expenses that followed my initial payment plan.

Elbert Lewis,
United States | 14 December 2021My experience was positive overall. The only complaints I have was one, no one telling me I could not order copies of my novel until all of my installments were paid. Second, in my opinion there were too many coordinators involved in the process. They were all professional, but I couldn't keep the names straight.

United States | 02 December 2021I thank IUniverse for having so much patience with me! My book was a completely new idea turning my sketchbook into its own published piece and they did not fail in making it a one of a kind for my library. I’m beyond happy with the outcome and beyond pleased. I owe you all a huge thanks.

United States | 01 December 2021Its a vanity publisher. You get what you pay for, so that is mild complement. That is, I never felt cheated. I'm a first time author and i thought they changed my contact person too many times, but not a big deal. The book is published and for sale on amazon (though at a price far too low - which I hope to stop). I believe I keep my Copyright so I can go elsewhere if I have the energy and if I could get a better deal - which I consider unlikely. 30 days after the start of sales I have only 3 sold (one I sold to a friend).
