United Kingdom | 04 March 2024There was nothing wrong with the service provided by this company and they do say that the customer pays for returns, however, I was not aware this would be £12. This has put me off using them in the future when other companies supply a returns form for free. I would not have objected to anything under £5. I have just read the reply stating there is a returns label for 4.99, however, this cost is only mentioned on the exchange part of the page, as follows: Returns Policy If you Return your item(s) to us within 3 Months of receipt, in unsoiled, undamaged and unused condition, we will happily Refund or Exchange them for you. This includes all tags still being attached and returned in the product packaging in which the items were sent out in. Please do not apply postal stickers directly on to the product packaging. E.g, footwear boxes, rug bags etc. In the event of these terms not being adhered to, we may be forced to deduct from your refund. Refunds within the statutory period are made in line with the Consumer Contract Regulations. Please send all Returns to: Returns Dept, Hope Valley Saddlery, Rockhead House, Staden Lane, Buxton, SK17 9RZ. It is essential that you include a covering note with your parcel, telling us: Your Original Order Number, Your Name and Contact Phone Number, Whether you would like a Refund or an Exchange (and what you might require in exchange). We strongly advise customers to obtain proof of postage from the Post Office, as in the extremely unlikely event of the item(s) not reaching us, this would be required in order for you to claim compensation. RETURN COSTS WILL BE COVERED BY THE BUYER.

United States | 24 February 2024The ok prices are not worth the knot in my stomach. I’m in the US but I often order from the UK websites for my horse tack because their stuff is different. It’s going on a month and I still don’t have my stuff. They told me I was short shipping fee but they are supposed to know this not me. So I PayPal the extra 20 bucks and then never heard back from these people. Others called it hopeless valley and now I see why. Still no tracking number nothing. For god sake to keep a customer send the stuff out for a measly 20 bucks. Never again not worth it.

Those at the company were so helpful in getting it changed and even called to discuss the replacement size to check it would be right for me. They unfortunately didn’t fit and needed to be returned - service at this time was excellent - responsive to email queries, returns up to 3 months and very prompt return of funds. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Hope valley were brilliant about it, quick and courteous reply, excellent customer service and an excellent resolve to the issue. I would buy from them again and recommend. I ordered on a Thursday and they were delivered the following Monday, just as the tracking said they would be. Good range of products, good stock levels, very swift delivery, good (automated) comms. I'm very happy with my purchase and HVS are now on my list of favourite suppliers.

However, the horse rug that I really needed has not and despite a total of five telephone calls I am no nearer to find out a delivery date or a tracking number. Save yourself the frustration of dealing with this company and take your business elsewhere.

The items are always delivered in a timely manner and they have a great selection of items on their website. The real standout comes for me from in 2020 when I ordered a rug and a HAAS brush. The brush hadn't been packed correctly and had been damaged. When I messaged Hope Valley through Facebook they were very quick to reply and give me a range of options and were so lovely - that one exchange alone means they'll always have a customer in me! :)

United Kingdom | 22 December 2023Purchased a uvex helmet in May at a cost of £260. Daughter was riding a four year old last weekend and the hat came loose. She reached around to tighten it but the dial came off in her hand rendering the hat useless. Several emails on and telephone calls Hope Valley will not stand by their product. They insist it must be returned to uvex for inspection. In my opinion it is within the acceptable guarantee period and should be immediately exchanged. My daughter has no helmet over the Christmas period to ride in. It is a very expensive helmet and should have lasted longer than five months.
