Step broke on 1st use after installation, luckily it was second from bottom not near the top so my son was only slightly injured, could have been a lot worse! Update:- LB Supplies did indeed contact me promptly and offer a replacement ladder by next day delivery. But we had 2 steps after trimming to length and they are unglued dovetail so repair with the materials at hand was possible, it seemed unfair to add expense to LB Supplies when ingenuity made good.

The product (a loft ladder and hatch) appears to be of excellent quality, in design, materials and workmanship. Although it is not the cheapest, it seems very good value. It would be good if spare components could be added e.g. à second handrail.

Took along time assessing which canopy to use because of the foul stack. LB supplies helped with all my quires. This made my mind up to order their canopy kit. Kit arrived well packed and protected. It's now installed and looks fantastic. The 4 meter long kit requires at least another tube of silicon and 2 more coach bolts. I'm 78 and managed the installation with a little help from my partner.

Very good product but it should have protection for bolt heads that can catch elbows when coming down. Instructions good.

Edit: Have had contact today and a good outcome has been arranged. Review changed from one star to three. We purchased a loft hatch via eBay and the product is satisfactory. However the company’s customer services is terrible. My partner works away during the week, but as the company advises ordering delivery in advance of requiring your item so as to avoid disappointment from courier delays he went ahead and purchased on a weekend when he was home. The subsequent delivery was then pleasingly quick and arrived on the Tuesday. I took delivery of the package myself and (due to medical treatments) although unable to manoeuvre the package myself I inspected the outer packaging on delivery and accepted. On return from work the very next weekend, 4 days later, the outer packaging was removed to reveal substantial damage in two places on the panel that is visible once hatch is fitted. The company was contacted immediately. But they are closed on the weekend. The message that was received very late Monday - just before closing - was rude and dismissive and simply detailed their ‘report damage within 48hrs’ policy. Tuesday we tried to ring, but to no avail and despite messages being left to call us back they have avoided making any reply. Although we could raise the dispute in eBay and we have buyer protection, we get the impression they are going to shirk their responsibilities and be as awkward as possible in the returns process so have decided to fix the issue ourselves at further cost and time. Very disappointed that a simple, polite message and easy resolution would have sufficed.
