The transfer quality and editing is very good but the wait for despatch not so good. I didn't receive an email to say my film was ready so more delay. When I contacted customer service they were excellent and dealt with the issue immediately. After two months wait I received my film but it was not on USB which I had requested. Again, customer services were very expedient and a copy on USB was sent out after a fortnight. Finally received my film just before Christmas (3 months in all) and was very happy with the production. If you stay on top by contacting customer service sooner you should get a great service

Paid extra for express took way longer. So much so that I'd forgotten about the project. I was reminded by them, paid but then they couldn't match my payment to the account despite using reference number. Had to call in a few times to try and sort, sending in bank slip to prove payment. Pictures were good just logistic execution poor.

I had a cassette with recorded conversations from a holiday in 1976 (I was 9), so it was wonderful to hear my Nanny, Grandad and Dad’s voices once again. Although the order form was very clear, their rep. called me to explain some subtleties of placing an international order. I was very satisfied with the quality of the scans, although I did choose the best (most expensive) options for resolution, cleaning and post-processing.

Thanks to Mediafix I was able to recover a 40-year-old U-matic tape. Delivery agents picked up and returned my original, for which I no longer had equipment to play. A download link and a pen drive now give me back what I'd lost. Mediafix also called me at the outset to discuss what might happen, and they were true to their words.

I sent in a 1/4 inch reel-to-reel 4 track (one direction) music recording and Mediafix converted this successfully into digital WAV and MP3 files. The service was straightforward and pretty quick. The files came back as two stereo tracks. I uploaded to Audacity and noticed that the music track durations didn't exactly align, but thankfully Audacity has a function for altering track length without altering pitch, so I was able o correct the problem. Also, it would be nice to have the stereo tracks as two separate mono tracks to enable more flexibility in editing/ mixing. Overall, a good service, though.

Mediafix transformed my old VHS onto dvds and it was wonderful seeing the children small again, very emotional.
