Challenging but the instructors are really helpful!

I really enjoyed the distance learning method of completing this course, as it fitted in with my availability. I found the course fairly easy to work through and the quizzes at the end of each section were pretty useful. I personally worked through some parts of the course a couple of times just to make sure I understood it properly before taking the assessment. I did also back up this training by watching some free to view you tube videos of the subject matter from other training providers, which I found very useful . The assessment process was also good, with an instructor on hand while you do the assessment to give instant feedback. I would definitely use this training method again and the only real improvement I would maybe like to see would be short training videos of some of the subjects with an instructor explaining them a little more in depth. Overall a great course!

I had opportunity to study and pass On Coastal/ Yachtmaster offshore theory. It took me more time than I expected, but it was overall excellent experience. The level of responsiveness of the whole Navathome team is second to none. Their patience and explanations were amazing. I never felt alone during the online learning, and they give their best to every single student to succeed and pass the course.

Great course, well laid out and presented, with rapid and very helpful email responses to queries. Will definitely be doing more.

Great course materials and very thorough assessment

Great course content and continual assessment. The ability to learn at your own pace and be able to revisit as many times as necessary anything that's a struggle. If you use this course thoroughly you can retain more information than in a classroom, take extensive notes and hopefully be safer and more competent on the water.

I am super impressed with Navathome. I have studied and passed the Coastal Skipper/Yachtmaster Theory course, which is a step up from Day Skipper. I was hesitant to use an on line course, but the instructors were mega swift in responding, including out of hours and at weekends, so I was not felt alone. The quality of feedback was good, as was the encouragement to continue when I was making mistakes. I would recommend Navathome and their team.

I have just completed the Navathome online course - it was well set out and explained everything clearly and simply. I had already done this course in a classroom 30 years ago, but wanted to update my knowledge and this was an economical and convenient way to do it. The teaching material is helpful and informative and the extra resources are really useful. What I regret not doing and would definitely recommend, is to ask advice for the instructors if there's anything you don't understand. I hadn't realised that it is really easy to email info@navathome with any queries and one of the instructors will reply really quickly with help and advice. I am very pleased to have completed and passed the course and now feel a lot more confident to sail and navigate my boat locally and further afield. Thanks!
