I had the pleasure of working with Robin Harrington to purchase my first cask. I was immediately impressed by his knowledge of this industry and appreciative of the consultative approach he took to seek to first understand what it was I was looking for before explaining how I could expect things to proceed. This is a complex process that Vintage Acquisitions appears to have a very solid understanding of. He guided me to a cask that was exactly what I was looking for and within my budget. I will say that being in the United States, it was challenging to figure out final payment since they do not accept credit cards and wire transfers originating in USD must be made in GBP, but we figured it out. Robin and his finance team were extremely accommodating, holding the cask in good faith while I worked a process out to process the payment, never once implying any urgency or introducing any stress into the matter. Never before have I been so excited to part ways with thousands of dollars for something that I do not plan to enjoy for over 20 years to come! This will almost certainly be the first of many future purchases.

Heard from an acquaintance about investment in whiskey and grabbed my attention. Read about VA online and downloaded the guide. The next day Robin reached out to see if I had any questions. He was really helpful and informative but never pressurised me to commit. Really pleasant experience. He help to find the cask for me based on my wants and needs and now I will wait to enjoy the fruits of my investment in 15-20 years time, maybe even get a couple more over that time too!
