After initially contacting Vintage Aqquisitions about to concept of purchasing a whisky cask any concerns we might have had disappeared as Sam Philips took on our case and led us carefully, knowledgeably and professionally through each step. He and the company showed great patience with our many questions and doubts and carefully and concisely eliminated our worries. They gave us a list of many whisky casks to choose from which suited our budget. Nothing seemed too much or too little bother to them. From initial consultation, through to purchase, I had several conversations with our broker Samuel, even including a zoom meeting. Very happy with the response and advice from Vintage Acquisitions and have bought a first fill hogshead for each of my grandchildren and youngest child, who is young enough to wait for it to mature. Time will tell how this works out. At worst, they can raise many a glass to my memory. I will now look at investing in some older casks for those who may need a shorter maturation period.

As a first time investor in this particular area I was somewhat concerned that I might be subject to aggressive selling. I need not have worried. At all times I found the expert I spoke with to be courteous, informative with a relaxed approach which allayed any concerns I may have had. When my decision was to go ahead with the investment the process was carried out with commendable efficiency. Early days yet as to how my investments are doing but, the whole process of getting the info on what is on offer to purchase and advice from a well informed team gives me confidence.
