Very nice selection of plants including some more interesting rare plants. Very friendly and knowledgeable people who have genuine interest in plants and the plants appear to be well looked after.

I went into their shop and my eyes landed on this beautiful green pot and matching saucer. I live in a different city so asked if it could be delivered to me and they were so kind to say yes! It came within a few days and now Velvy my Verrucosum has a beautiful new pot! Much thanks to Urban Tropicana!

Just picked up my rescue box and had a great chat with Steve about plant care. Having just moved house he gave me great comfort about my plants which are not looking great right now. I always love popping into Urban Tropicana as who ever is there helps me learn more about plants and is always up for a chat about the plants at home. Thanks again and I know I will see you again soon.

Trialing all the rescue boxes at present from plant shops on line. This one was from @Urbantropicana.co.uk. Price £15.00 plus P&P Arrived very quickly and very well packaged. Got a cake Thea which I don’t have very much success with however this one looks in good condition so here’s hoping Got a pineapple plant but unfortunately pineapple had come off whilst in transit. Epipremnum happy leaf looks lovely supplied with hanging baskets too . Pleased with value for money and quantity of the plants. Would recommend

DISGUSTING service. My mum and I bought a plant here on the weekend. I was excited because I do not have plants in my flat and thought an indoor citrus plant would brighten my day. We took the plant home and it turned out to be infested with aphids. We called them straight away to report this and they said we have to bring the plant in physically within 7 days. My mum said she could not come in until the weekend because of work. She asked if they could accept the return on Saturday (so 8 days after the purchase apparently according to them, although we bought it on a Saturday so don’t know how that made sense) or until 5:30pm on a weekday and they said no. My mum is a doctor and in the end she had to actually take time off work she could not afford to to bring this plant back because they would not allow the return on Saturday, which was still within 7 days. When she returned the plant, she was abused and harassed by two men she says intimidated her and who 1) called her rude 2) refused to give a refund for the infested plant and citrus plant food we bought specifically for that plant, and for the plant plate, which would no longer be needed since the plant was infected. Not only did these men abuse my mother by telling her she 1) bought the plant elsewhere because we lost the receipt (it’s an independent shop so they should clearly remember us or have electronic or CCTV records of the purchase a couple days prior ) 2) accused us of having cut off branches from the plant. Why would we have cut off branches? We loved the plant and treated it with much care. This is a clear attempt on their part to avoid giving a refund and scaremonger us. Further, they manipulated my mother into not giving her a refund for the plant food by saying it had been opened even though it had absolutely and clearly not been opened. We had the plant for a day before calling the store to alert them about the aphids. We did not give it plant food in that time. The food was not opened. She left the store with a plant pot because instead of giving her a refund for the items, they refused to compensate the plant food and the cost of the plate (stating it was dirty even though it was pristine. We had placed it under the plant for half a day but the plant’s pot had been wrapped in tissue paper which meant the plate remained pristine). To prove their false claims they showed her images of either what the plant looked like in the past or a different plant. The plant has clearly been diseased for a while and they had images of what it looked like before and tried to accuse us of cutting it up in the tiny amount of time we had it. We placed it and did not touch it the entire short time and had no reason to cut off parts of a plant we were purposefully not touching because we knew it had to be returned. I have photographs of the plant with time stamps of it standing alone in my home. Shop here at your own risk only if you want to be abused. I am sure these men will respond with false images and accusations, having heard how my mum said she was treated. I genuinely believe all this happened because my mother dealt with the return all alone when she called the store and when these men greeted her. They sensed an opportunity to take advantage of what they must have perceived as female vulnerability and I will not stand for it. If this shop was professional they should afford a full refund of the £65 and an apology to my mother for their abhorrent treatment simply for bringing back an infested plant they should not have sold us in the first place. Women should steer far clear of this shop to avoid being manipulated like this. My mum left sad and traumatised by the ordeal and with a new pot we do not need. Consumer law protects consumers by providing warranties and refunds for situations exactly like these. This shop is trying to curtail their responsibilities to consumers in this regard. Do not buy from here. The citrus plant if it is still there is infested with aphids which will have infested other plants too.
