United Kingdom | 21 August 2024Pentagon LCV Derby. Sales arranged a video call at a set time with me, stayed in for it but they never rang , emailed next morning, no response or communication. £20k lost sale , purchased from a company that gave me a great service. Go elsewhere is my advice. Hate to think what they would be like after you bought a vehicle from them ! 22/08/24 received the standard “ contact our customer care team” template letter! Laughable.

United Kingdom | 14 August 2024Dreadful aftercare. Issues with tyres and alignment. Takes ages for them to sort. Think they are trying to get it out of the warranty so they don't have to deal with it anymore. Left me with a car I don't not feel comfortable driving.

United Kingdom | 09 August 2024Constant phones calls to book my wifes car in dispite telling them multiple times I have my own mechanic to do M.O.T.s etc and the only reason it went there was due to Vauxhall recall. Calls started 3 weeks after it went in for the recall and M.O.T was not due for over 3 months and still got 3 weeks till it is. Date of experience is when it started and they still doing it as of 9th Aug 24. Leave people alone.

United Kingdom | 04 August 2024I reserved a Kia Stonic at this showroom and paid £99.00 for the reservation. I received a confirmation email stating that the car would be reserved for 72 hrs. The next morning at 10am I received a call from the team to confirm a test drive for the car the following day. As I was travelling from Birmingham to Sheffield to purchase this car I asked if I could purchase and take the car the same day if the test drive went well. He confirmed this would be possible. Later that day around 2pm my dad recieved a call from one of the salesteam at Sheffield , informing him that the car had been sold. My dad, confused as he was not the one who reserved the car, questioned why he was being contacted. When he inquired about the sale despite the reservation, the team membern had no answer and transferred the call to the sales manager who was very rude stating that we should have purchased the car earlier if we truly wanted it. I then called the showroom directly and spoke with the sales man who was also very rude and repeatedly mentioned a miscommunication between the central sales team and the Sheffield team. I explained that I had taken annual leave to travel from Birmingham to Sheffield and now had no purpose for my trip. The manager was dismissive and unhelpful, stating he did not know what I should do. When I asked about the point of paying to reserve a car if it could still be sold, he had no answer . He said he could do nothing and hung up the phone on me . I am absolutely shocked with the awful service I have received from this branch and wouldn't recommend their service at all to anyone.

United Kingdom | 02 August 2024Purchased an MG with a 3 month warranty. Been going round in circles trying to get the warranty honoured. They have sold a car which they cannot repair themselves as they do not have MG mechanics and have no way to get the car repaired. Tried to get us to drive an hour away and booked this in, before driving I called to ask if this location had MG trained engineers and they did not. Luckily I did not already travel there. It has been a nightmare getting in touch to solve this and staff members are rude and transfer you around different departments not taking any ownership.

United Kingdom | 01 August 2024Booked my company car in for MOT and service for 8am 01/8/2024 specifically requesting a courtesy car as per the contract between the company car supplier and pentagon. Received a call at 16:45 31/07/2024 asking me to arrive later as the courtesy car wouldn’t be ready for 8am so arrived at 10am as requested. Arrived after the hour long journey to the garage to find they still didn’t have a car for me so I was stranded at the garage. Had to call my wife to have her drop her plans to pick me up and then bring me back once everything was completed (or so I thought would happen) no updates from the garage until 13:11 when I receive a video message from the “technician” saying my tyres on the front were illegal and required replacing yet looking at the attached report they were on the limit but still legal (N/s measuring 2.9mm 1.7mm 2.5mm O/s reading 3mm 1.9mm 2.3mm) now here’s where it gets mysterious, from leaving the service ramp and going onto the MOT ramp in the same building the tyres have lost 0.5mm of tread now reading 1.2mm thus failing the MOT. I wouldn’t have known any of this as the garage in question has made no effort to contact me during the day. I’ve had to chase at every step. Not only that but they have left me high and dry with no car for work tomorrow. It’s a good job I booked today off work as if I’d arrived as expected and had to go to work I’d have been stuck unable to get in and would end up being questioned as to why the hell I was so late getting in. Formal complaint being submitted through my company as I have raised it with our fleet team for a full investigation as they are clearly either totally incompetent when it comes to inspections or they are scamming money out of the fleet company using the tyres as an excuse. Updated 92/08/2024: Car ready for collection after service and MOT. Apparently the service technician measured the tyre at 1.7mm which was correct but then the tester found a spot on the tyre at 1.2mm on the same strip?? Doubt that very much. Twice I’ve had to use this place and both times they have not given a courtesy car when pre booked weeks in advance. Excuse for yesterday’s non allowance: “the man who took it yesterday is stuck on the school run” in August! During the summer holidays whilst schools are closed! Just a bunch of liars constantly spouting rubbish to customers. Oh and funnily enough there’s no proof of service in the wallet, no stamp in the card book and no paperwork to say what’s been done. Strange as they put paperwork in for a service last year when it didn’t go in for a service, it went in for recall on the able system and was in and out in less than 4 hours. Pentagon Peugeot Barnsley by the way. I wasn’t going to name them but

United Kingdom | 31 July 2024I came from Scotland for a used car, Kiam was very helpful and even picked me up from the train station and to the post office for tax. He even came in on his day off so the whole experience was seamless! The car was in the excellent condition he described. He is a great asset to the branch and the company.

United Kingdom | 30 July 2024I bought a new Ford Focus and the care and support from the Pentagon Ford Warrington was outstanding. Steve Wilkinson was friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. I particularly liked the videos he created for us to show the features of different cars we were considering. This really helped us decide while we watched and re-watched at home. Steve was excellent when I collected my new car and made the whole process very quick. I was impressed that the Manager Dave Kelly even came out and set up my Ford Pass app for me. I wouldn’t have been able to do this myself. What a wonderful and friendly team. I will definitely use them again.

United Kingdom | 30 July 2024AVOID! I bought a vehicle from this dealer with an extended warranty of 6 months. It was purchased with the agreement of some minor paint works to the body being carried out before I bought it. When I went to collect the car, the paint works had not been done. They apologised (their fault) and asked if I wanted to leave the car with them or book it in to have the work done. I booked the car in for the work to be carried out. Left it all day. When I went to collect it, the minor paint works had still not been done. I took the car away and received an email to say that they could not do the works as it would mean a full spray job of those areas. I let this go as the marks were minor. When I bought the car, I took an extended warranty for 6 months, hadn't even driven it 1k miles (only had it for 3 months) and a fault occurs with the exhaust pipe (rattle - silencer issue). I booked it in with their service centre. They carried out a full health check and then came back to me to say they had identified £2k's worth of faults. They then explained that the warranty would not pay out for the exhaust fault. AVOID. UNTRUSTWORTHY. The one star is for the customer service which was on the ball and very professional. That's it.

United Kingdom | 30 July 2024I really don’t know how to put this politely but the service provided by the Dacia sales team is non existent. Went today to test drive a Sandero Stepway automatic and was going to place an order. Went last Thursday and spoke with the Manager Gary (to be honest he was a little vague on specs and prices but kept going away to check) who told us about the great deal that was ending today, so arranged a test drive for today. On arrival no one knew we were going and were finally greeted by Larry where we explained why we were there, he then informed us that the car I wanted to test drive was out on service loan, Gary was nowhere in sight in fact he was off today! Asked about getting one from the compound (Gary had assured us last week there were loads). Was told that it had 500 in and they would need to check each one and only 3 Stepways and the chance of one being Automatic was pretty much nil! (Computers we’re down) I mentioned the offer ending today and Larry suggested that a place the order on the proviso of cancellation if I didn’t like the car after a test drive - of course I declined. Walked away in disgust…. Wasted day of a/l.

United Kingdom | 27 July 2024I purchased a Vauxhall Corsa reg DU21 XWL on the 17/0724 from your Mansfield dealership. I’ve already had quite a few issues with the car and I’ve only just had it for a week. First there was an issue with the break pedal which should have been sorted before I picked the car up but wasn’t and as a result I’m still waiting for a part coming through the post. The second issue is the breaks are incredibly squeaky and make a noise with the slightest pressure applied and I’ve just noticed when I went into the back for the first time the back seat bench isn’t attached properly as the clips are snapped. I would like to point out that none of my issue are with the sales person I dealt with Martin who was a pleasure to deal with. But with already having so many issues with the car in such a short period of time i'm very unhappy with it and considering just giving it back and getting my money back. The most frustrating thing is all of these issues could have easily been resolved before i collected the car but it seems it didn't have its final checks because if it did how could all of these been missed? It seemed the car wasn't even ready for me to pick up and didn't have its front number plate on. Because it was a rush job they didn't even put screw caps on and left the screws exposed. Admittedly this is a small issue but when added in with everything else it starts to add up After washing the car it became apparent that it had been badly touched up to hide any imperfections. This of course came straight off and the bonnet is covered in stone chips. The passenger side of the car is also covered in scratches

United Kingdom | 27 July 2024Bought a car £10,500 from Pentagon lincoln in january 6 weeks later windscreen wipers would not turn off after numerous phone calls they had it back ,they had it for 16 weeks we constantly had to chase up what was happening and the customer service is shocking they are so rude no compassion or understanding we felt a nuisance we emailed head office in derby and never had a reply from them either we finally got it back After 16 weeks 4 days later it flashed up engine fault and emissions failure we managed to get a refund we want nothing more to do with them the whole process was a pain we understand with used cars things can go wrong but how they deal with it is terrible just a bit of pleasant customer service would go a long way ...AVOID at all costs

United Kingdom | 25 July 2024Waited a month to get a basically new car into to service for a bad rattle in the dash and the car drifting when the steering wheel was in a straight position. Pentagon had the car all day and failed to resolve any of the issues raised ?? , to compound i had to chase to find out the status of the car just before 5pm and to top of the car was covered in oily finger prints on collection .. Back street garage mentality and level of service, no wonder the reviews are so poor. Much like the Peugeot brand , avoid save yourself the grief. Wish I had. The response below is a joke , they don't respond to your complaint, I tried . They didn't receive 3.6 overall score for nothing.

United Kingdom | 23 July 2024The salesperson was very good whilst I was purchasing the car, however, I have had a number of issues with the vehicle since buying it one month ago; the main issue being the engine light coming on one week after I bought the car and the lack of response from Pentagon. I have made numerous calls to both Pentagon Mansfield and Pentagon Customer Care, and I made a complaint two weeks ago, to which I have received no response, despite chasing it up. I have been promised a phone call from both Pentagon Mansfield and from their General Dealership Manager, however, no one has contacted me. Failing to carry out thorough checks on a vehicle before sale (there was a broken valve on one tyre, resulting in it going flat a few days after I bought it), then fobbing people off, dragging things out, ignoring people and failing to respond to complaints is hardly good customer service.

United Kingdom | 21 July 2024Just bought a second hand MG4 EV from Pentagon BYD at Lincoln, so the car is not one of their models. Ian Bishop salesman was extremely helpful in answering our questions about the big step for us to go all electric with its very new technology. However after a while we found we couldn’t bind our mobile to it. I googled the problem and found this is a common problem with MG EVs. The experiences of others was that MG were very unhelpful. So as Ian had said “if you have a problem just contact me “ , so I did! He tried MG and got the same kind of unhelpful response. He then contacted the previous owner to ask if he could unbind his phone, which he did. Problem solved in less than 24 hours. Kindness and helpfulness over and above. Thanks Ian
