I went through two loan officers before meeting Jeff Anderson with Summit Mortgage. My first officer refused to work with me because she saw that I was paying for a car loan. My second officer pre-approved me but he said I would never qualify for any down payment assistance. When I came to Jeff, I was already skeptical. What can he do different for me that those other two have up? I was starting to believe maybe I wasn't making enough to own a home, maybe I had too much debt. But Jeff, he looked at the potential I had. He eventually found a first time homebuyer program that I qualified for, and he also approved me for three different loans, allowing me to look at foreclosures and fixing them with 203k loans. Jeff answered all of my questions and he has such a vast knowledge of his work. He was prompt and worked hard-he pre-approved me on a Sunday night! Jeff was great. He was very responsive, and walked us through everything. While he was exceptional at answering questions as they arose, a general note: I feel that I had SO many questions and I think both my realtor and my mortgage person got annoyed with me. I dont really know how to tackle that other than to suggest somehow providing more information up front? I dont know. Maybe it was just my situation, but I just felt like i genuinely didnt understand what was going on always

As a first time home buyer, I was very overwhelmed, even with all the reading and preparation that I have done, it was very intimidating.
