My driving instructor Kamran Khan was always professional, patient and understanding. He always provided the right guidance and motivated me to keep going when I was ready to give up. I’d recommend him and A1 to anyone looking to learn how to drive.

I came to A1 based on positive reviews I saw online and I believe that’s the best decision I made. I had Harbir as my instructor, an amazing instructor and individual who is always on time, polite and great at explaining down to the details even when I need the same explanation multiple times. I cannot recommend A1 driving school enough. My experience was outstanding! Manny Usman was my instructor and he was absolutely incredible. There are just not enough words to explain how dedicated he is to you as a learner. If you are an anxious driver like me.. Manny will put all of your worries at ease. He made me feel so comfortable and actually made the experience enjoyable, which is not something I ever thought I would be able to say. I had been having lessons on and off over the past 10 years, but never found an instructor that I clicked with. I always came away feeling more nervous about driving than ever before.. but then I came across A1 driving school. My whole life has changed and that is all thanks to Manny. I had 7 weeks of lessons with him and then he encouraged me to book in for my test (he managed to get a cancellation slot within 1 week for me) and I passed first time, with only 1 minor. I came away from having done my test, feeling the biggest sense of achievement! I owe it all to Manny- he was calm and patient with me at all times. He challenged me to do what he knew I was capable of all along. I will miss being in the car with Manny! He is professional but has the greatest sense of humour! I will forever be grateful to him. I came to A1 for lessons on my uncles recommendation as both of his sons had passed first time with A1. I had the pleasure of having my lessons with the main man Zaf as my uncle insisted on having Zaf as a driving instructor. I can see why as i came to Zaf 10 days ago with no driving test booked and in those 10 days got me ready for the test and got me a early test for today and went and passed first time in less than 10 days. Genuine driving school who really want to help people pass their driving test. Cant thank A1 and Zaf enough. Best driving school by far.

Passed today with Tan, with only 1 minor. Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn to drive with. The instructor Tan is patient, explains instructions well & worked lessons around my commitments. I used to be nervous of parking, but I was shown how to perfectly & now I’m good at parking. Overall, I highly recommend anyone wanting to learn to drive to go with A1 driving school - Derby. Big thank you to Saima for helping me pass!! Had a few driving instructors and mostly with bad experiences but Saima helped me a lot with my driving and confidence. She is very patient and friendly and would always put me at ease if I got anxious or built up about anything. Would definitely recommend her if you’re looking for an instructor.

Cheers to A1 Driving Academy! I have just recently passed my driving test on the first attempt with only two minors. Professionalism: I am very much satisfied with their promise to help students pass their practical driving exams. Especially, my instructor Manny Usman helped me althroughout the process. With them extending a hand, Manny got me a test date within 48 hours of my request. Manny was also considerate of the driving lesson schedules. The mock test he gave was really helpful and the test refreshers were of great value as well. Manny will patiently build your confidence while politely addressing the shortcoming during my driving. Value for money: No unnecessary lessons will be required of you just to gain more hours. Direct and clear about your skills levels, thus easier for you to realize your current capability. Overall, I very much pleased with my instructor as he was very encouraging, calm , supportive, postiive and clear in guiding me the whole time. Would easily recommend A1 Driving to any of my colleagues who needs driving training. Kudos!

I passed my driving test yesterday on my first attempt with only one minor, and this would not have been possible without my two instructors from A1 Driving Academy, Tashfeen and Usman. I started learning with Usman Manny, who taught me how to drive completely from scratch. He was patient, understanding and very methodical in his approach to teaching, always taking time to go back over things if I was struggling. He was also very accommodating, allowing me to have lessons in the evenings so that they didn't clash with my work schedule. When he went abroad, he kindly offered to forward my details to another instructor so I could continue my learning as I was almost ready to take the test. This is where Tash took over, she helped me in my transition from a diesel to a petrol and together we started working on parts of my driving that needed a bit more attention. She went out of her way to support my learning, sending additional learning resources and always ensuring that I got the most out of my lessons. She was always very encouraging and supportive, helping me to build my confidence behind the wheel on the lead-up to my test. She even managed to find and book an earlier test than the one that I had originally booked and helped me to prepare by taking me on mock tests. Overall, I'm very happy with my experience and would recommend both Tashfeen and Usman to any learners looking for a safe pair of hands to guide them towards getting a license - they're also both genuinely nice people which is a big plus.

I was so happy to have Saima as an instructor, she helped me so much with my driving, coming from an another instructor I learned so much from her, and I feel like that without her help I wouldn’t have passed my test today. After leaving an unprofessional driving instructor i joined A1 driving academy. I couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor Saima, she has expert knowledge, patience, skills and experience. I would defiantly recommend her to any learners wanting to pass first time! They have fair pricing and cater to everyones individual needs.

Passed first time with Manny Usman with only 5 minors aswell!!! I was overly excited when I passed first time and the process wouldve been 10x harder if it wasn't for Manny, not only does Manny care for his students and individualise his teaching approach to cater to each students strengths and weaknesses he also is just an amazing instructor to feel calm and relaxed with, it felt like I was catching up with an old friend yet someone who keeps his professionalism. Just before I joined Manny I had around 7 different instructors who I had tried with which all either made me anxious or tense during lessons or their instructions were not clear enough or up to standard.. with Manny it was different. I want to EMPHASIZE for people who struggle with feeling calm or anxious or those who even just like an upbeat happy positive vibe just how friendly Manny was. Some instructors may have clear and concise instructions and communication however Manny has BOTH this aswell as an ability to make you feel like you have a positive, relaxed, enjoyable and stress free lesson. Manny challenges you enough for you to progress through each lesson but also not enough that you feel overwhelmed, It was a pleasure being your student and I hope to see you again soon.
