United States | 19 December 2015I use Spelling city for centers and spelling tests. I honestly don't know if the problem is on my side or theirs, but it glitches quite frequently. I don't have time to call and let them know. I wish they had techs playing these games to find, and fix any problems.

United States | 19 December 2015Now that I have learned how to add and delete students, things have been so much smoother. I can differentiate assignments and tests easily.

United States | 19 December 2015I use Spelling City every week with my 5th graders in lieu of the traditional test. We love it!

United States | 18 December 2015I love Spelling City and how it can be integrated across the curriculum! I would love to see a feature added to print student work at one time. I am aware the feature is available when printing test, but I would love to see this available for student writing and other activities as well.

Australia | 18 December 2015Spelling City became an essential component of the spelling program because all the activities and games were relevant to the student's spelling list. The children enjoyed the experience. I had no difficulty generating my spelling lists, adjusting word meanings, publishing lists and removing lists from view. When I needed assistance, Spelling City were quick to respond.

United States | 18 December 2015Another great way to practice spelling words. We use the app on our ipads in the classroom.

United States | 17 December 2015Easy & fun to use. Teaches & reinforces definitions as well as spelling. My teen and younger child enjoy it. I especially appreciate that we can create our own lists!

United Kingdom | 17 December 2015Great - really benefits both my class and my own children. I would love an English accent option too though, as this is often commented on by parents.

United States | 17 December 2015Spelling City is amazing. It allows me to assign multiple lists every week. With differentiated lists, my students' needs are better addressed. I love that Spelling City allows them the individual time they need for tests, grades the tests, gives the students immediate feedback, and keeps all the data organized and logged for me!

United States | 16 December 2015This resource has been a great way for students to work on spelling and vocabulary. They have made improvements which make it even better than before.

United States | 16 December 2015It has been a great help in getting children to practice spelling and to learn other associated facts like alphabetizing and parts of a sentence.

United States | 16 December 2015Overall Spellingcity has been a good resource for my classroom. I am very frustrated however with the fact that many of the activities do not work on ipads. My students only have ipads and therefore cannot access of the games and activities. In addition when I try and assign specific activities for students to complete the program does not accurately keep track of completed assignments. What I'm saying is that many times they complete an assignment and it shows that they have not. Therefore, I have not been able to hold them accountable for incomplete assignments.

United States | 16 December 2015Spelling city is an easy program to use. It can be accessed anywhere there is internet access. I love it!

United States | 16 December 2015Students have the ability to take custom tests, play games and even create their own spelling words. My students use this tool every week. With the addition of the app, students have the choice of studying their spelling world on the go! As most of my students are heavily involved in after school activities, this has been a real bonus! I love that I can customize the lists in order to provide differentiation for my wide variety of spellers. In addition to all the great spelling activities, there are vocabulary and writing to boot! Having the Spelling tests grade for me saves me time, and provides my students with immediate feedback. I will continue to use Spelling City every year!

United States | 16 December 2015I love all the games spelling city has to learn spelling. First we tried spelling the old fashioned way. The old fashioned way used a lot of paper and time making list and activities. With this site, I did not need create lists or print anything! It saved me tons of time, ink and paper. This site has word lists from sight words all the way up to SAT words. So it was perfect for both of my kids. One with a learning disability and one that is advanced for his age. The only thing I can see to do to make the site better is if I could create assignments with more then 10 activities. I would love to see 20 activities per assignment.

United States | 16 December 2015Spelling city helps free class time for other subjects or activities! Students can study, take practice tests, and regular test as they are ready, at home or in class. As a teacher of 3rd graders, I look for ways to boost computer contact, familiarity, and confidence for my students who will be state testing on computers for the first time in the spring. Spelling City is just the ticket!

United States | 16 December 2015Spelling city is great for home practice.

United States | 16 December 2015It is rare that my entire class can complete an assignment without one or two needing to close the app and re-open. Also, it would be great if the app would remember their progress even if an activity has not been completed.

United States | 16 December 2015I would never want to go back to the days of giving spelling tests orally, and grading spelling tests. Spelling City also allows me to meet the needs of various student abilities, because they all take the tests individually on their computers at the same time. We do have problems with students getting almost done with the spelling test and the computer suddenly goes back to the home screen. The student has to start the test all over. This is especially frustrating for the slower student.

United States | 16 December 2015Spelling City is the only spelling site around, but the gradebook is difficult to use. You can only see 10 scores at once. It is cumbersome to change things. Other kinds of sites have much better score spreadsheets. Many students regularly have problems with activities not working correctly. It has some nice features, but for the price, I feel it should work better. I have not always received answers to emails. When I did receive one, they wanted dates and times and usernames and specifics which I understand can be helpful, but I work with 9 year olds. If 10 kids are having difficulty with an activity, it should be enough to say that. I don't have time or resources to list every detail for Spelling City. They need to do the searching to solve their issues. There are many issues for a site that is this expensive.
