Overall, a great resource. Sometimes the records are not accurate. It will say a student has not taken a test when I have a score logged. Also, sometimes it is difficult to mark assignments completed or record that a student is exempt etc. from an assignment. It's a great, quiet, and fast way to manage a spelling program otherwise.

It saves so much time grading and being able to assign games for next week has improved their scores! I also love that I can differentiate my spelling!

My children bring home speeling and vocab words every week. WE have been using Seplling City for 2 years. They are currently in 3rd and 4th grade. Every Monday they input the words and definitions in spelling city. (Spelling city has most definitions already in their system, but I like my kids to type in what the teacher gave to help them study). After they type the lists in, I use the Assignments that the program allows me to customize so I can assign the week's lessons and save the line up for conitnued use in the future. From Tuesday through Thursday they play a couple games after school on their ipad or desktop. They make 100% on their tests!! Thursdays they do the practice tests. If they get any wrong, I assign a recap lesson and retest. I am a full time working mother (60+ hours a week), and this is perfect for parents with a career to be involved in and assist in their child's studies. I left off one star only because I would like to see the program more open to allowing science and social studies questions with multiple choice. I do my best to work around it in the system, but if there is a question that is not a single word/phrase, the system will not work. I would like to be able to insert questions like "What are the characteristics of Eleanor Roosevelt?" , and have the Word-O-Rama allow me to put in answers (1 right 3 wrong). Then, this would be a 5 star. I would even be willing to pay more, if they made it an add-on.

Good service but some issues with assignments not showing up on kid's computers, students can't take the test instead only the pretest, and some couldn't log-on using portable devises. I love it for easy of use and the kids seem to enjoy it too when it is working.

I teach students with special needs. SpellingCity is awesome because it will review with the kids as often as they need. I can make differentiated lessons and differentiated spelling lists. It has become as invaluable tool in my classroom to meet the needs of all my students.

We have used Spelling City for over 3 years now. I am very happy with the flexibility of being able to add my own word lists and monitor my son's progress. My son enjoys the games/activities that have helped him learn to spell in a way that no other approach we had tried was successful. I would highly recommend this program.

We use Spelling City EVERY week for school spelling tests and have for a year and a half. My son enjoys the games and the online test allows him to test himself instead of me doing it orally. We have seen a HUGE improvement on grades and I am so thankful. I think it is worth its cost and plan on continuing to get it for my boys unless the they raise the price and the cost outweighs the value.

EXCELLENT resource! Thank you for having both spelling, sentence and vocabulary because I now use it for my daughter's spelling AND science, social studies and general vocabulary. My daughter LOVES to study using Spelling City and always has since starting with it in 2nd grade. I now pay for the annual subscription because it's worth it and she's a straight A student. I recommend Spelling City to all of my close friends. It gets an A+ in my book!

Spelli by city has really helped my kids with their weekly spelling list. They mostly do test me and test and teach. I wish there were better options for vocabulary.

Spelling City makes it easy for me to keep my kids engaged in learning how to spell outside of the traditional classroom. The suggested lists and the games allow me to focus on driving their knowledge in a fun and interactive way.

I love using SpellingCity and I wish my students had more time in their day to use it. I teach grades 1-6 so I like how I can differentiate their learning with different spelling lists and assigned tasks. My students enjoy doing their weekly activities. I can check on their work and give them practice tests along the way. Such a great investment for a very reasonable cost per class.
