United States | 16 December 2015I'm a homeschooling mom, and really enjoy using SpellingCity. My son likes the games and he learns well enough, so they must be working! I wish there was a better way to do hangman (or "hangmouse" as I think it's called). Maybe an option to define the word so the kid knows what they are shooting for? After all, the point of the game is to actually spell the word, not to kill the mouse, so I think that would work great. Also, I'd love more games that were like TNT, where they just have to spell the word, rather than pick out letters from falling water drops or squish running bugs. Those types of games are fun, but you spend a lot more time playing than spelling. TNT is the only game where you just have to spell the word and hit submit. My son hates the "Awwww" sound that happens when he makes a mistake (he thinks the pretend computer people are making fun of him), so he refuses to play it, and we're out of luck since it's the only one like that. Also, I'd love a way to export the words to word or excel so I can print them to put them on the wall, or for copywork. Am I missing that link? I can only make them into a PDF, and have no control over the font size, adding lines for copying, etc.

United States | 16 December 2015I use Spelling City Premium to take Vocabulary tests as well as Spelling each Friday. The children love the practice tests and games to prepare them. The website grades the tests and I print them out. Once I entered all my personal words and lists, I knew I was good to go year after year until the curriculum changes.

United States | 16 December 2015Spelling City is a good resource. However, there are some things that make it hard to navigate. For example, adding lists, assignments, or students to groups seems to have too many step. Maybe this could be consolidated.

United States | 16 December 2015As a homeschooling mom, I've recommended this company to MANY others over the past three years. It makes spelling lessons fun for my daughter. There are also several games that we use for vocabulary review. Lately, when we are going to be away from home, I'm able to print worksheets to take along on the ride. There is also the app for her ipad. I wouldn't change a thing.

United States | 16 December 2015First of all, my students love Spelling City. They love the game-show approach to learning and the other games. I love it because it gives them a fun format in which to practice spelling and vocabulary. I also love that I can enter the words once, then print out crossword puzzles, multiple choice or fill-in-the-blank tests, and flash cards! As long as I subscribe to Spelling City I can go back year-after-year and not have to retype those lists in. It is accessible from any on-line computer for the teacher OR the student. They can practice from home and you can enter lists away from the school. I highly recommend Spelling City to any educator who wants time-saving features at their fingertips.

United States | 16 December 2015I have been using this app for the last 3 - 4 years and I have been very pleased. It's very simple to setup tests and is a great, fun and interactive way for kids to learn all areas of Vocabulary. My kids actually enjoy learning this way, via a good variety of games (Premium Membership). This application makes learning fun and I would definitely recommend.

United States | 15 December 2015My kids enjoy the games. I enjoy the constant access to the words. My only problem is the program won't allow a stop mid-game. Students must start that particular game at the beginning.

United States | 15 December 2015Our students love using SpellingCity and their comprehension increased on their standarized test.

United States | 15 December 2015I wish I could quickly look and see how many minutes each child worked on a spelling list for the week. We ask that our students spend 30 minutes on a list for the week, including activities and testing. The only way to do that is click on each child. It is very time consuming. That is what the 3 teachers at my school site that I work with would like to see.

United States | 15 December 2015I really like the ease of spelling city for both students and teachers. I would like to see more games developed as my students tend to get sick of them over the school year. I would also like to see more games available on mobile devices. I have paid for my entire classroom for the past three years and hoping to see some improvements or changes.
