They closed at 6pm. No one at customer services. So I rang Friday and I was told it was out of stock. I was so annoyed, as I wanted this prescription fast and I had wasted a whole week. Now got to wait for the refund. Will never use this company again

Six weeks after being prescribed Mysimba, their website still says I should be taking one tablet a day. Reporting this failure had no effect. In the meantime, once I reached the third week and upped the dose (as recommended) to three tablets a day, I suddenly developed appalling anxiety from the meds. I sent a lengthy email asking for advice and heard nothing. I have no idea how this company has such high reviews on Trustpilot. I stopped the medication as the side effects were unbearable (which could have been risky but I still hadn’t had any advice from the company and couldn’t take the side effects any longer). I contacted the company telling them I wouldn’t be continuing treatment and received a proforma acknowledgment, nothing more. Then today, two days later, they send an email congratulating me on my sixth week of treatment! Don’t use this company. There are plenty of online pharmacies who do care about your health. Myprivatedoc is emphatically not one of them. ADDENDUM I am pleased to say that the company’s response to my experience was exemplary, with appropriate corrective action taken and a clearly caring and apologetic attitude. Suffice it to say that I would in fact use the company again as they have displayed such a responsible attitude. Things went very wrong but the company has learned from its mistakes, which is all I can ask.

United Kingdom | 26 June 2024A shining example of private healthcare. You pay, they ask some questions for if they can prescribe a treatment to you, and you get the treatment — simple. No waiting lists, no being bounced between NHS specialists, no appointments scheduled months in advance, no need to leave your home. And best of all — it is private. You choose who to tell about your treatments. Stigma is real in the NHS — I have had surgery I waited a long time for denied by an NHS doctor who thought I was making up my chronic pain because I had a single record of trouble sleeping due to anxiety in my record. Not even a proper diagnosis of anxiety as a disorder, just a mention in my files that I couldn't sleep for a few weeks once due to life changes. He also sent misleading letters to my GP. That was an expensive lesson to learn, as I had to go private for the surgery, not to mention that I wasted my time like a fool. Now, I value privacy about my health the most. This is the future of healthcare centered around you. Your time is not wasted, you get treatment quickly, it works, and your privacy and dignity are respected. I hope PrivateDoc is profitable and they continue expanding their range of treatments and hopefully even services in the future (private GP, blood tests, ...). Such clinics are the only way forward out of the NHS crisis I see, and it makes me hopeful.
