From my initial call to Tia at JFK Moving through our long haul move to Phoenix every step along the way was handled professionally and competently. The first team, Richard and Hassan, worked efficiently and speedily and with great care. The second team of Suhrob and Hassan Ab, worked tirelessly, packing and organizing for maximum cargo. They expertly unloaded and arranged furniture and boxes after a very long drive. Thank you JFK Movers we highly recommend your service.

The movers arrived late. One of the 3 workers immediately laid down when they arrived and played on his phone. They ran out of tape and shrink wrap, they asked me if I had any, I only had tape. Their office called and apologized and said they are sending someone to drop off tape and shrink wrap. I ask how long this will take, he said it won’t be long, we waited for over 1 hour and 30 minutes. The workers were not careful with our furniture and damaged a few items, despite me asking them multiple times. The main worker would repeat it after me asking them to be careful in a disrespectful and condescending way. One item in particular, side table, was rolled up a staircase and over nails as there were exposed nails due to no carpet , these nails damaged the side table. When I pointed this out to the main worker he said he will deduct 30 minutes from the time to basically cover the expense to fix it, I said that won’t nearly cover the damage. They scratched and marked our newly painted walls, I get they are moving big items and this is expected but after asking them multiple times they clearly didn’t care. They also leave the cling wrap on after they place items down, you only see the damage once you remove the cling wrap. I brought this up to the main worker, he gets anger and tells me that I’m refusing to pay, I asked to speak with a manager to see how this will be handled. The manager said I can get it fixed and they will reimburse me, I asked for that in writing, I never got it. The claim form I was sent wants me to acknowledge that they will pay $0.60 per lb of the items weight for the repair, this was not close the covering the damage, I did not sign. Then when it was time to pay I was over charged, I had to explain to them I already paid a deposit and that needs to come out… one of the workers also sat down on the sidewalk in front of the house and was throwing up… more time wasted…. Nothing was taken off the final payment for this. Multiple times I was threatened with them calling the police and law suits if I never paid, I mentioned to them I was not refusing, I just want to make sure my damage is paid for. This move was on 10/29 and I have not heard anything back. Worst moving experience, I will never use this company again.

Everything. Requested Flat bed truck. Received Box Truck. Had to be turned away without using your services. Tremendous inconvenience caused by this error. Till today I haven't received the advance of $50 that I paid.

Let’s say last year when I used the company I did not have issues. At this time I had somebody complaining that would be a 4 men job and I would need to make sure I would tip them. Thing I always do. However, being reminded all the time got tiresome. I am not yelping I am just not going to use the company again. And you can keep that to you. Don’t need to post. I was quiet until you sent me a question.

The movers were on time, courtesy, and professional. I was amazed how they wrapped the furniture and loaded everything in a timely manner. David was very knowledgeable on breaking down certain furniture items and took pride on protecting my flooring. The pair was awesome!

On 8/10/24, JFK Movers moved me into my new home, which had brand new floors. They damaged a valuable piece of vintage furniture, as well as my floors. Before the move began, I specifically asked about full-value coverage due to the value of some of my belongings. In violation of the guidelines set forth by the Surface Transportation Board, I was told they DID NOT OFFER full-value coverage by the foreman, Miguel. The furniture: JFK offered to take my vintage teak buffet and restore the damage. What they returned was a completely different color (this is part of a matching set), and improperly finished. The espresso finish remained tacky because the wood had not been prepared properly, and it had not been sealed. It came off at the slightest touch. They picked it back up to strip it and restore it to its original finish, but have had the piece over a month. I'm not sure what "professional" furniture shop they are using, but it looked to have been applied by a complete amateur. After having my buffet for another month (today is 10/27), they refuse to give me a return date. They have invited me to take legal action or accept the .60/lb payout, which I would have been happy to do, had I known how poorly they would treat this valuable piece. I simply would like it returned in its original condition in a timely fashion. The floors: After a representative acknowledging the scratches and attempted to use some wipes to remove them from the floors, he said they would treat the entire floors to resolve the issue. They now claim the scratches were pre-existing and that they are not visible. I am including photos for reference. They clearly gouged the floor while moving the buffet. I would like compensation in order to repair the floors. This has been an unnecessarily drawn-out and difficult experience, with a complete lack of customer support/service. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
