books came in great condition for the price i payed! only issue was with the shipping as the package was delivered to another house in the neighbourhood even though the address inputted was correct.

Received book after 2 months, seller refused tracking number despite it being amazon policy. Seller sent book in padded envelope, completely inadequate however there is no damage to the envelope but the book was CLEARLY damaged when it was put in there. The spine is all torn up, But no envelope damage. I can see other reviewers with same experience.

I'm very satisfied with their service. Orders came in as advertised and in a timely manner. I've made multiple orders and have consistently been satisfied. If you are OCD about your books' cosmetic appearance, then they might not be the best choice for you, considering there are very small imperfections on some of the book covers and a small marker dot on the top or bottom of the page stack (which they actually warn you about on the books' product pages), but the books themselves are clearly new/unused.

I've ordered from them 6 times and referred them multiple new customers. I've unfortunately had to deal with customer service twice now both times they've done exactly nothing to solve the problem. In this instance I made 2 separate orders in one night totaling over $100. The second order made was not over the free shipping threshold. So I made the order and IMMEDIATELY followed up with them giving them reference to both orders asking them to put the 2 orders together and refund the shipping fee. This is their exact response: "Hi Jeff, Thank you for your ticket. Unfortunately, we do not have the ability to combine orders. They were placed at different times and will process separately; a refund cannot be processed for the shipping cost. Should you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to us again. Kind regards, Vanessa" I followed up with them and received the manager who gave me an excuse to which I followed up on. Then he simply closed the ticket with no response! As a small/local business you have the possibility to shine with your customer service but this is such a sad excuse of a response, no effort or case given at all. If you cared to solve an issue for a frequent customer the solution is extremely simple however now you'll be reviewed negatively on every site I can find and you will lose my business. Congratulations.

Bookoutlet is INSANE. I ordered 4 vegan cookbooks off the website and was expecting a long shipping date and not the best shape of books. Everything arrived within 10 days and I can’t believe it but the books are in perfect shape?! I’m so so happy with everything I will recommend this website to all my friends and I will most definitely order more cookbooks!

I got 5 brand new books for $20 shipping included. As the library is closed this is the next best thing. The books were in new condition with the little marker dot as explained on the website. I am placing another order for kids books this weekend. Shipping was timely in the current crisis.

This review is for the Canadian site. We love to read, so naturally we order tons of books. I've ordered from bookoutlet.ca likely in upwards of 20 times now (usually large orders), and you really just can't beat the prices. The books are usually in great condition and ship quickly. Customer service was helpful too (though we only reached out to them once to ask a very basic question). Of course, I'll come back and update this if I end up having a terrible experience with them in future, but for now I really can't complain. They have a great selection of books, too!

Stay away!!! This site is a scam!!! I have ordered from them and then they ended up not sending the books I made the whole order for even though they were still in stock on the website. They refunded but I was still without the books I actually wanted. I tried messaging them twice and NO ONE would respond. It appears they have no customer service and pick and choose what to send you. There are MUCH better book sites out there to purchase from that actually have a customer service. This is the worst book buying site I have used and I am an avid book buyer so have used them all.

Quality is definitely hit-or-miss. Sometimes you get lucky and the books are basically brand new. Other times, some of their "bargain copy books" are pretty beat-up. I only shopped on the site twice. First time around, my purchase experience was great, since I got a brand new condition book that was selling for essentially half the price found on Amazon. Second time around was not so fortunate. When I wrote to customer service about returning my second order due to the poor condition of the book, I was told that they do not do prepaid return labels, and that I would have to pay for shipping myself (which is fine), and they would reimburse up to $7CDN. The problem here was, the cost of basic parcel postage from Alberta, back to their warehouse in Ontario is $16. My initial purchase cost $12.80 CDN (including shipping), so it basically does not make sense to send the item back and receive a refund of $3.80 net. Customer service really didn't have any suggestions when I notified them of the return postage cost. The only offer was a 50% store credit (based on my initial book purchase...so like $3.50-4 CDN added to my account). Definitely not impressed...
