You would think from my headline that I was employed by this company. You may even think after reading my review I was a Director. Far from the truth, so why choose an Inter Only Financial Advice Company? (Please note I am VERY SAVVY when it comes to the Web, Scams and Internet Phishin. After 2.5 years of using 2/3 different personal Independent Financial Advisors and being passed from pillar to post (because my 'friend', the IFA was not REGISTERED) I was 100% disillusioned with my advice. I searched the internet and choose two close advisors (from my locality) and one that looked very good via their web site (Burfield). I was wanting advice on four pensions, with 2 being Final Salary. Bizarrely only Burfield actually came back to me, maybe the Financial Salary is too much of a mine field. I did my research on the company and as much as possible quizzed them every time we spoke on the phone with my 'worried' thoughts.. that I have not met anyone from the company in person. I was told on several occasions I could visit the office and meet the staff if I so wished. Let me say my wife and I do not have millions or even hundreds of thousands in these pots we wanted to access but we were treated with upmost politeness, respect and excellent ongoing advice through all the procedures and then more... we were actually advised NOT TO DRAW one particular pension because it was to our advantage to keep it going because of the benefits to us in the future. Re-assuring me that this company in no way are trying to re-invest your funds for their benefit but solely there to do what is right. The analysis I received from so many individuals at this company, that is then channeled by the one advisor I was assigned to, was brilliant. Stupidly the regulations set by the government do take the levels of control to bizarre extremes regarding your choice of risk of investment but Burfield talk it out verbally for you so you are at a level you understand. But it can be a bit of a pain but it is for ypou own protection. The cherry on the top was, their costs were approx 35% cheaper than my original IFA was going to charge. I guess that is because they are not in your lounge "so to speak"! I am of the inkling to complain "severely" when I am treated unjustly, I am ALSO one to PRAISE VEHEMENTLY when I am shown excellent personal service. This service is unquestionably BRILLIANT!
