Got a couple of knifes and a square omelette pan from them and got them engraved. They look super fancy and cut incredibly well. The staff gave us some practical tips on how to care for them. The omelette pan is really good too, we use it daily. Highly recommend this shop!

Review of the Greek street Soho branch, JKC: As I have a keen interest in Sushi preparation, I look for the best establishments to procure fine kitchen equipment. JKC was one of the first brick and mortar shops I visited when starting my journey, with some very knowledgeable staff. Of note is a staff member and expert sharpener by the name of Michiaki who always goes above and beyond when it comes to answering my knife related questions or taking care of my tools. JKC have an extensive range of Japanese knives at many different competitive price points as well as a massive selection of quality Japanese kitchenware in their downstairs showroom. One really cool item they have is real deal Binchotan, which is notoriously difficult to get hold of in the UK. Will return for more quality items in the future. Insta : @desk.gourmet

I honestly cannot believe the customer service experience I have had purchasing a gift voucher from this company. I bought a £99 voucher to be delivered at a scheduled time in a few days from my purchase date with a personalised image. The day/time comes and goes with nothing sent to my recipient (for their birthday). I send a complaint that the voucher hasn't been sent to them, and receive a reply 3 days later which my recipient was CC'd to my complaint email and a generic reply "Dear Customer, Greetings of the day. Please, find the attached gift voucher. Apologies for any inconvenience caused." not even addressing me by name nor even really acknowledging what's happened and with the wrong image on the voucher. To say I'm embarrassed that my recipient saw my complaint email is an understatement. A complete lack of customer service intelligence and experience is clearly evident and I wished I spent my money elsewhere.

I have to say this company is absolutely the best I have encountered in a very long time. I ordered a knife as a Christmas gift and was permitted an engraving. I didn't opt for that but ordered without. A few hours later I decided on the engraving and sent an email. There was no response to that email but a couple of hours later I was sent a message saying it had shipped. Assuming my follow up email was too late for the engraving, I was satisfied it was my fault. But lo and behold the knife arrived today with the engraving! Kudos to you JKC! Many thanks for your absolute attention to detail.
