United States | 19 March 2021I would highly recommend Shipsurance to cover any items that you need to ship. Filing online is easy, and they let you know exactly what information they need. It is also easy to check on the process of a claim. I insure all my sold items with Shipsurance. It's a small price to pay for peace of mind. 5 Stars!

United States | 19 March 2021On some smaller claims they pay fast. However on a larger claim they made life miserable. UPS dropped off a package that we shipped at a closed business, on the sidewalk in front of the front door late on a Friday night. It was a substitute driver. Needless to say the package was not there when the business opened Monday morning. UPS acknowledged their negligence and paid their $100.00 portion of the claim, but Shipsurance denied the $2900.00 claim that we paid them for, citing that they do not cover stolen packages. So in this case if we had just insured it with UPS, the claim would have been paid. But because we insured with Shipsurance, we were out $2900.00. That was the last day we used Shipsurance. It's a good idea to understand what Shipsurance does not cover, UPS insurance is clearly better. We ultimately purchased a shipping insurance policy from UPS Capital which is far cheaper at about half of what we were paying for Shipsurance and the coverage is far better. Update: Regarding the Shipsurance response to give them a call to discuss, now you want to discuss but you wouldn’t during the claim? Now that is rich. During repeated attempts to get someone to talk to us during the claim process we were told it was in underwriting and they don’t have a phone, there is no one there we can talk to, they will email us with their decision. So no, I don’t think I’ll be calling you now to discuss, we already tried that multiple times during the claim process, you weren’t interested then, there’s no point to it now. And by the way, UPS would have paid that claim, they admitted their sub driver made a mistake, it was blatant, and unlike Shipsurance they were willing to talk to us.

United States | 19 March 2021Third claim in about 10 years...always a simple process...Shipsurance once even funded a $500.00 claim years ago for a package that was 'delivered' but probably to the wrong p.o. box when the postmistress wrote a letter stating that the package was probably was miss-boxed. I probably over insure but I have a unique product...one of a kind vintage photographs that cannot be replaced. Thanks Shipsurance for a stream-lined easy claim process.

United States | 19 March 2021I have always had good experience with Shipsurance in the past and never expected a problem. That is, until I had an international shipping loss. From the notes, they needed more information, which I supplied. When they asked for even more, I called and talked to the adjuster. She was snarly, nasty and accused me and my customer of lying about the delivery. Further, she wanted me to obtain more data, which from my standpoint, was her job. I hope I do not have to deal with this person again and that they will be careful to hire more customer oriented people.

United States | 19 March 2021I had a package that was damaged by FedEx but fortunately I bought insurance on the shipment through Shipsurance. I filed a damage claim and submitted all necessary documents and photos of the damage. Within a week I was compensated for the exact anoint I paid the insurance for. Very satisfied!

United States | 19 March 2021Do NOT use Shipsurance or shippingeasy.com to mail packages if you care about what you are shipping. I used shippingeasy to purchase postage to send my MSI laptop back to ExcaliberPC where I purchased it for some potential repair work. Shipsurance is the insurance offered by shippingeasy.com. UPS was the shipping company I foolishly chose to use and they damaged the laptop during shipment and admitted they damaged it. Shipsurance says my claim is not valid and they are not paying for any of the damage because I used the original packaging that had MSI on the outside that alludes to the contents. WHAT?????? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? The original packaging is the SAFEST way to package something for shipping (I used the 2 boxes MSI used to ship it to me in the first place with all the Styrofoam and other packaging.) Also, MSI said using the original packaging is the best. Millions of packages are shipped daily with manufacturers name on the box and that makes it ineligible for insurance? That doesn't even make sense!!!! This is the lamest excuse I have ever heard for not paying a claim. Shippingeasy says they can't do anything about it because shipsurance is a 3rd party company. Meanwhile my very expensive work computer is completely unusable now. And not once did anyone tell me up front I could not use packaging that had the manufacturers name on it. Shipsurance is using the lamest excuse I have ever heard to not pay a damage claim. They are crooks. Do not use shipsurance or shippingeasy.com - they are both scams. They just take the money and run.

United States | 24 February 2021Even though you put fragile on your package they get thrown. Your expensive items are not safe. Shipping is so expensive, insurance is necessary. Shipsurance is fair and honest. Highly recommended!(

United States | 06 February 2021Will find every which way to get out of paying your claim. Not worth it at all to purchase shipping insurance from this company. You are better off self insuring your shipments. Also deduct $100 from whatever payment you insure through them because they make the courier pay you the first $100 of it without disclaiming this. Have lost out on hundreds of dollars through mistakingly purchasing the shipment insurance through this company thinking it would make a difference when the time comes one of the shipment shave been lost.

Italy | 04 February 2021Beware! When you go into put a claim on a package Shipsurance requires you to send a link to your client. Through the link, your client is required to certify that the claim you are opening for this client's package is truthful!!! In my case I had a client whose package was lost and that Amazon refunded them for. Why would this client fill out a form to certify the claim for me? It is RIDICULOUS! No client is going to fill out a form especially if they didn't receive a package or it was damaged! I cancelled my policy after only 2 months of working with these scam artists! SHAME
