Excellent program. As a Family Physician and EMS medical director I found this course extremely informative and valuable. Especially since I grew up working in the swim club/water park industry. I have a niece that was diagnosed with autism when she was 3. I've experienced some of the things that were discussed. However, when scenarios were given it brought out a whole new meaning for me. It was things that you wouldn't typically think about. It was definitely eye opening for sure! I really enjoyed this training. Jerry was informative, attentive, and kept the whole room engaged. I definitely recommend this training to all first responders. It's very crucial knowledge!

The personal references pertaining to the subject matter was the biggest takeaway from the course. Having been involved with some encounters in my own career and learning about some signs I should have been aware of is paramount in communication with other stimulated individuals. Thanks again for your time and efforts putting the course together.

I truly appreciated and learned so much from your training this morning. I believe this will be used greatly by our department. I am hoping we will be able to start gathering more of this information from the callers before the officers, deputies, ambulance crews, and fire crews arrive to better prepare them for the situations they are encountering.

Phenomenal training that helps put things into perspective and allow us to change our mindset when handling unfamiliar situations.

Jerry was a great presenter and provided useful information for law enforcement to be cognizant of when interacting with autistic people. This training should be mandatory for all law enforcement and first responders. Jerry’s personal accounts of mistakes he made with his son made the information more impactful.

The class information was extremely helpful in having a better understanding of how Autism effects people.

As the father of an autistic adult son as well as a 24 year veteran law enforcement officer, I cannot say enough about how valuable this course is to myself and to any law enforcement officer of any experience level. I am "lucky" to have a lot more first hand knowledge of this topic having lived it for the past 21 years, but I still feel that having this in depth analysis would have helped earlier in my career. I highly recommend this class to any first responders who may be tasked with dealing with or locating a missing child on the spectrum!

The instructor was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the material. I have been through similar trainings in the past, but this was by far the best course I've attended regarding law enforcement interacting with autistic individuals.

So many Answered questions, the fact that you came from the LE perspective and fully understand reasonable police actions and were able to tie that to this special population was incredibly awesome. the information of how to communicate with an autistic person I found to be very useful especially. the icing on the cake was the information on how to find a missing person with autism. very great lecture.

I’m a law enforcement officer with many years of experience and have dealt with individuals in unique populations. This class gave me more resources for my toolbox and taught me things I wasn’t familiar with, even with prior training in handling special needs calls. Thank you so much!

Jerry was great this week. I've sat through a few classes on the topic and was expecting a snoozefest. What I experienced was excellence delivered with personal anecdotes. However, it wasn't just the tug on heartstrings. What hit me most were his ideas on searching for autistic individuals who are reported missing.
