Second part of order never arrived and i never got a response from them after contacting them a few times. When I finally got through on the phone 2 weeks later I was told the second part of my order was damaged and therefore not delivered but why was I not told this at the time? I wonder if the rest of my items would have arrived if I hadn't got through to anyone on the phone to re-place the rest of my order

United States | 02 February 2019Ordered a jar of Japanese plums (umeboshi) in mid December and didn’t receive them until 1/31. When they arrived the vacuum seal button on the top was popped- indicating that the jar was not sealed. I think this is unsanitary and I’m disappointed my purchase isn’t suitable for eating. ADDENDUM: I’m updating because Hawthorn issued a refund and it was very easy to deal with their customer service. Still recommend to keep in mind that shipping to the US took a long time.

I started using HH when my local Sainsbury's stopped stocking Lizi's Granola, which I eat for its low glycaemic load rating - I have reactive hypoglycaemia, so benefit from foods that release their sugar slowly. I have given four stars instead of five for two reasons: firstly, there is no means to look through your order history and simply re-order what you had last time, which is what I usually want to do. Secondly, when you try and right click on a product on the order history to open it in a new tab, you get a copyright warning but no new tab. Two ways in which HH makes it unnecessarily harder to re-order. Other than that, next day service is always reliable and this time I am glad they have cut down on the very wasteful and unnecessary packaging used in previous orders.
