United Kingdom | 19 June 2023Had my daughter tested for dyslexia at chase eye care, she struggled with confidence and anxiety but they made her feel really at comfort and ease. Her school grades have improved and her confidence in social interaction has improved a lot. Aftercare by all the team is outstanding. I will recommend chase eye care to everyone and won't go to anyone else. This is a five star family practice without a doubt.

United Kingdom | 10 June 2023I was seen so very quickly. I went in on Saturday morning with an eye problem, had an appointment in the afternoon. I was seen efficiently, needed a scan which was carried out during my appointment and results were immediate. Mr Puri was a reassuring and professional, I have found a gem. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Couldn’t recommend more highly … Thank You

United Kingdom | 24 May 2023I can't speak highly enough about the service I received from all the team. This is the third time I've gone to Chase Eyecare, and I must say that your practice and the overall experience is second to none. My eye test was very thorough and explained to me very clearly. The choice of frames and lenses are great and I am very happy with my new Lovely glasses. I will recommend it to everyone… See you again soon.

United Kingdom | 19 May 2023NEVER AGAIN, once again the same person for my eye test who says he’s not an optician but an eye health man, asked me if I drove and I said no, eye test was rushed in less than 10 mins, again asked if I was driving home, clear lack of listening, I took my own frames in and he said they may not be suitable as they weren’t my glasses 🤣🤣🤣 then they said I could have a free pair of close view glasses, 2 years ago I declined them because my near site is perfect, no other opticians offer you free glasses you don’t need which I found odd, this time I accepted them and they actually make my near vision worse, my new glasses that I need are giving me a headache and worse than my previous ones, very unprofessional and will be taking them back and getting a test elsewhere, I’m also reporting them because somethings not right with this company

United Kingdom | 07 March 2023We wanted to share our experience with Chase Eyecare from a few weeks ago to serve as a warning to others. Partner got some grit in their eye so had to obtain some cream from Chase Eyecare for easing the irritation. All well and good, but was then encouraged to have an eye test. Partner was fine with this and duly booked in for a few days later. Oh dear - what a mistake. After being informed the standard eye test was free because my partner was on Universal Credit, on arrival my partner was informed they'd need a more in-depth test too. The optician sat my partner down to do the test and only revealed it would cost £150, just as they were about to perform the test, leaving my partner no time to object and walk away. Having had this expensive test (which other well known National opticians do at a fraction of the cost), my partner was then informed they'd need glasses. This was not unexpected, however, the sales pitch then went into overdrive. The optician showed my partner a variety of 'exclusive' frames. In the end, they settled on a frame before then presenting them with a bill for over £600! A person on Universal Credit no less! Yeah sure, can just find £600 down the back of the sofa - NOT! As my partner hadn't got anywhere near that level of money, they agreed to take part payment upfront, with the glasses then being made available to collect on payment of final amount. My partner was in a state of flux and vulnerability about needing such expensive glasses, that they paid the cost of the expensive overpriced test and a down payment on the glasses. As soon as they'd left the shop, partner called terribly upset as they couldn't figure out how they'd afford it all. After chatting for a few minutes, we realised this was a huge con, and I'd paid nowhere near these sums for tests or specs, so we went back to withdraw the order for glasses. Couldn't expect to get out of paying for the overpriced additional eye test, and wanted to ensure a polite and smooth conversation to get the refund for the deposit paid for the glasses. Alas, refund received and prescription in hand,we went onto an online glasses maker and 2 pairs ordered for less than £60! Staff were friendly and all smiles etc, but the fact they're willing to do a person on Uni Credit out of over £600 is rediculous, and not revealing the cost of the additional test until literally sitting down to do it leaving little chance to decline is a horrid, sharp practice that shouldn't be allowed to see the light of day. Never again will we or anyone we know go here. Be warned.

United Kingdom | 19 August 2022Cant thank this opticians enough. Really good service always make me feel very welcome and not rushed. Eye test is so in depth would not go back to the high street chains now. The lovely ladies always help me choose glasses and I never feel pressured to buy. They help me find nice frames but within my small budget. I even get my glasses really quickly within a week. When I broke my frame they replaced it free of charge. I would recommend to anyone wanting high quality personal service.

United Kingdom | 18 August 2022Overprice and unprofessional I visited chase eye care cost £520 for eye test and 2 pairs of glasses that I could have brought £150 Very pushy sales staff They even made me wait a week for my eye prescription and only gave it to me because I demanded it Please stay away from them

United Kingdom | 17 August 2022Me and my family always use chase eye care now after a bad experience at specsavers. The atmosphere is completely different when you walk in, really friendly, even got a cup of tea while I waited. The optician was really friendly with my son, really made us feel relaxed. The girls when picking glasses were brilliant really chatty and catered to our needs. Couldn’t be happier with my experience there.

United Kingdom | 15 August 2022I never leave a bad review but I’ve had to..I took my aunt to the shop in High Green with cataract symptoms :cloudy vision etc, and generally poor vision which as an 84 year old widow and profound deafness left her more vulnerable. We were encourage to pay £90 for a more in depth test and then we’re told that she didn’t need cataract surgery and that in fact she might go blind as there are risks attached, so stick to glasses. I mentioned she is deaf, he rudely kept addressing me and not my aunt the patient whom he should have shown more patience and respect to. He wouldn’t give us a copy of the in depth test as it was ‘confidential!’😂 even though she is the patient! My aunt left upset, dissatisfied and robbed of £90.. I since went to a top eye surgeon who examined her, explained she did have bilateral cataracts that in areas were quite thick and explained that without surgery her eyesight would continue to decline. Chase eye care reluctantly gave a referral ( which we didn’t really need) and my consultant never did receive a copy of the eye test!! My conclusion was that chase eye cares’ motivation was purely monetary as she would have needed stronger and stronger glasses!?. Thankfully she has now had very successful surgery and her vision is astounding, she genuinely has better than 20/20 vision remarkable for her age.. Do your homework and maybe try Kelchers or David Arthur both of whom have an amazing reputation and respect within the industry.

United Kingdom | 12 August 2022Have been going to chase eyecare for a number of years now, unlike a couple of the reviews here, I have to say I found my experience to be the total opposite . Myself and my husband first went to see Mr Puri roughly four or five years ago, we had standard eye tests, and then we both had the scan at the back of the eye, and we are very glad we did. My husbands scan showed diabetic bleeds in both eyes, Mr Puri, showed us the scans and explained everything to us, he referred my husband to a clinic at Burton hospital. Where he has been under their care since. We go once or twice a year, at the moment twice a year due to changes in my eyesight, and i have to say I'm happy with our treatment there. The new revamp is lovely, and all done by the hardworking staff, who work as a team, I went with my husband a couple of weeks ago for check ups, my husband needed new lenses, they did not push him to have new glasses, and as he likes the frames he already has, he just had the new lenses placed into this frame, nothing was hard sell…. I wanted new glasses, I’m always wanting to have a couple of pairs I can change, what woman doesn’t, but once again, I wasn’t forced into having new glasses, it was my choice. The new system was wonderful, a drink, sitting in new chairs and having frames they thought would suit for me to try on, brought to me, instead of me looking through racks of frames and just getting more confused, it was relaxed, and the staff are wonderful. It’s a whole new experience, less NHS, more boutique, the prices of the frames vary from designer to budget, there’s something for everyone, I can only speak for ourselves, the service, professionalism, and friendliness of the staff, make it a place we keep going back to.

United Kingdom | 12 August 2022Highly recommend. Very knowledgeable and friendly with a great choice of glasses that where actually cheaper than other places in Cannock. Felt like the staff had time for me as a person and I wasn’t just a number or rushed into buying unlike when I went to a major retailer in the town.

United Kingdom | 11 August 2022Both myself and daughter have our eyes tested here. All I can say is what a fantastic experience. Lovely relaxing atmosphere nothing like specsavers. All staff are so caring and considerate. We both chose glasses so quickly with the help of the ladies and they are beautiful frames can’t get over the quality. Can’t wait to go back next time.

United Kingdom | 11 August 2022My first encounter with chase Eyecare I was referred to this opticians for an emergency appointment. Mr Puri was very professional and advised a course of treatment. I have since returned a month later and they have had a revamp. My whole experience was very relaxed, the staff were exceptional and I couldn't fault their service. Again saw Mr Puri who provided a very thorough test of my eyes. I was then met by a lady who listened to what I needed and she hand selected frames for me that were within my budget. The choosing of glasses was very smooth and easy (which I haven't experienced before). Thankyou team.
