The form was straightforward to use, which was good. However my friend booked the same insurance and hers was $200 less that mine was, and I could not figure out why.

While I have never had to make a claim with World Nomads, my husband and I have traveled to 5 continents and dozens of countries with the peace of mind that we were covered for any difficulties. Purchasing a policy is seamless and being able to extend a policy while we are traveling is so easy and helpful. All of our policies are listed in our online account, so we have easy access in case of making a claim or having to contact customer support. My only regret is that in a couple of years, we will no longer be eligible for coverage because of the age limit. But we’ve certainly enjoyed having access for nearly 20 years.

The website was easy to use with one exception. When it asked for address, it should’ve specified billing address. I put in my physical address because I thought that might be necessary for a claim, then my credit card charge didn’t go through. So I called the helpline, and the agent couldn’t find Laos to help me buy my policy. I thought it was strange that a company called world nomads hired phone agents that don’t know geography. I went back to the website the next day and was able to make the purchase.Other than that, it was like any other online purchasing.

So far so good! I made an error filling out the policy and they fixed it for me right away. Hope I will not actually require their services, but I appreciate how quick they've responded so far!

Cost excellent when others were charging upwards to $1000 and up. Staff were able to answer all my questions. My friend used them twice now and recommended them to me. I will use them in future.

Easy to use website

I’ve never had to file a claim however this is the second time I have used World Nomads. First time was for a trek up Mt. Kilimanjaro and now a trip through Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe and South Africa. In both instances I was required to have insurance to travel. World Nomads is Reasonably priced and easy to get online with good coverage!

Excellent service today. I needed to extend my daughters policy for onward travel to another country and Kasey made the whole process extremely easy - would recommend.

Easy to review benefits and sign up. My one complaint is that I accidentally chose the wrong start/end date, which was completely my fault; however, this was days before my trip and caused me to have a bit of a panic. I immediately called the support line, only to be instructed via the automated message that such changes must be made in writing. That's fine, I then emailed; however, there isn't an automated system acknowledging my email, a basic tenant of customer support. Additionally, it took almost 48 hours to receive any reply, although that reply was easily handled by the support rep to my satisfaction.

We’ve used World nomad insurance for about four or five years now, I’ve compared pricing each season. They’ve always got one of the most competitive pricing. Their service is always been good for general questions. When I was sick last year they were good when I contacted them with questions. And I submitted my claim October 30 (5 months after the event) and I just received confirmation and today’s Nov. 14, that payment has been issued. The claim processed initially seemed overwhelming with a ton of forms, but once I got reading through them, there was many sections that didn’t apply to me, and it wasn’t nearly as intimidating as it first appeared. I was able to upload everything via portal and I was very pleased with The process.. Thank you World Nomad for making affordable insurance!

Back with world nomads insurance because of a good experience I had last year in Guatemala .
