I never received a confirmation number, even though my card was charged $233. When I emailed, I was given a customer support number, which told me after a full hour, that they had no record of my policy and couldn’t reconcile the issue because some third party made the charge, not me. They won’t give me a policy, they won’t give me a refund, and they have no other potential suggestions towards resolution. Basically, every indication at the moment leads me to believe it’s a scam I am sorry I ever fell for.

It was easy to purchase. But since I did not need to use it, I can't comment on what happens when filing a claim.

Excellent help from call centre. Bought the policy. I immediately sent feedback of how well I was helped and that it swayed my decision to purchase a policy. Subsequent “reminders” to place feedback and how important feedback was to World Nomads became laughable: despite emailing them that I have placed feedback and do not need reminders, I received another reminder with the words “we will not remind you again?”. This makes me unsure of how well I will be looked after if I have a real emergency and need their help! World Nomands, I get the impression you are asking for feedback in a mechanistic way just to say you are doing it. Have you ever acted meaningfully on any feedback?

So far so good . I took out the insurance for my travel to Australia and as with all insurances I sincerely hope not to make use of it .

I ended up at a hospital in a foreign country. I could use WhatsApp to reach World Nomads. I borrowed someone's phone World Nomads put on hold for almost 20 minutes. The agent promised to call back, then didn't. Later in the day when I finally talked to someone they said I had to go online and open a claim. I kept explaining I was hurt and in a hospital, to no avail. I ended up paying the bill with a credit card. I was disappointed that they were so hard to communicate with during my time of need.
