100% agree with all the one-star ratings and reviews. I was also tricked by the official looking letter that makes it look like it from companies house directly. The language and tone used on the letter is highly pressuring the recipient to take immediate action or to expect legal consequences. Given the short two week notice, and a bank holiday in between I decided to act immediately as I felt at risk of forgetting it and facing legal fines. When I informed my accountant of the situation he replied “oh no, what have you done?” At that point I knew. My accountant explained they had recently completed this companies house filing and now I had practically duplicated it at a cost of 73 GBP. Long story short if you have a trustworthy accountant and you have taken all the steps to comply with HMRC, don’t act on any letters you get form 3rd parties (even if they make it look official), always consult your accountant first.

Completely agree with what other genuine looking reviews have said (most 5 star reviews look fake)... I feel scammed of £73 for something that only costs £34 to do direct with companies house (confirmation statement). The letter they send does look like an official notice and I didn't even question it until after I had paid and got spammed with "recommended services" like registered office address and business bank offers. To add insult to injury the service they offer isn't even good, I had to file for two companies today, the second one I did direct with companies house and this is already showing online as done. The "OnlineFilings" one isn't even showing as submitted yet! Lesson learned - for anything you want to do with companies house or hmrc, log in to the official portal first...

I've never given them my company details but assume they got them from Companies House so when I received a letter from them a couple of days after Companies House had sent me an email advising that I needed to submit my companies confirmation statement I assumed they were acting on behalf of Companies House and were not a totally separate company. Stupidly I scanned the QR code on the letter and paid £73 to confirm my companies existence. This seemed extortionate and when checking my account at Companies House I realised it should have been £34, which I paid directly on that site. I've now paid twice to confirm my companies existence. I will amend my review as they have had the decency to refund what I had paid them, but I still feel they knowingly write to companies hoping to deceive them into using services they don't need to.
