Very quick and very efficient

Couldn’t thank the agent enough for their time and patience helping me through my many many mistakes while setting up my business.

From what I can tell, this is a legitimate company who offer useful services. However, I received a letter about an overdue confirmation station for one of my companies that made it seem that my *only* options for avoiding a large fine and criminal record were to submit via their website for a fee of around £50. The letter arrived in a brown envelope with the exact same design as HMRC letters. It takes around 5 minutes to submit your confirmation statement via companies house and costs £13 (this is actually mentioned in the (very) small print in the footer of the letter) There was no legal wrongdoing here, but I do feel like there was a deliberate attempt to mislead. Here's the text so you can judge for yourself. Important and urgent - Overdue confirmation statement Your confirmation statement was due to be filed with Companies House on 30/10/2023. As set up in the Companies Act, failure to comply may result in the directors) being prosecuted, receiving a criminal record and a potential unlimited fine. If you do nothing, Companies House will begin the statutory process which can lead the company being removed from the registrar. Your personal obligations as director would remain and any company bank accounts will be frozen. If you have already already completed your compliance filings, please disregards this letter. It can take up to 2 working days for Companies House register to update.
