There are a lot of moving pieces and back and forth with the house buying process and he made the process so much easier. Very responsive and made sure to make sure I was fully comfortable and informed the whole time. Even after completion he checked in to make sure the move went okay. Above and beyond service and really great end to end from Goodfellows.

No easy task, due to various issues, including availability of a mortgage on the flat. Goodfellows were the third estate agents we had used in order to try and sell this flat, but they were successful in the challenge. Helpful, polite and professional to deal with throughout. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend to others.

United Kingdom | 03 January 2025Absolutely Awful Experience with Goodfellows If I could give zero stars, I would. Dealing with Goodfellows has been nothing short of a nightmare. From start to finish, their lack of professionalism and disregard for tenants’ concerns has been appalling. To begin with, communication is practically nonexistent. Emails and calls go unanswered for days, sometimes weeks. When they do finally respond, it’s with vague or dismissive answers that leave you feeling unheard and frustrated. The property I rented was not as advertised. Issues like faulty appliances, plumbing problems, and mold were present from day one, yet Goodfellows consistently failed to address them despite repeated complaints. Their so-called “maintenance team” is either overbooked, unqualified, or simply doesn’t care. To make matters worse, they are quick to charge exorbitant fees for anything and everything, often without proper explanation. When it came time to move out, they unfairly deducted a large chunk of my deposit for “cleaning” and “repairs” that were either unnecessary or pre-existing. It’s clear that Goodfellows cares only about their profits, not the well-being of their tenants. I wouldn’t recommend this agency to anyone. Save yourself the stress and look elsewhere for your rental needs.

United Kingdom | 09 December 2024This agency engaged in highly unprofessional behaviour by sharing confidential emails between myself and Mr. M. In the letting department and his colleagues with a tenant, unlawfully without my permission agreement or consent. These emails were explicitly confidential. Furthermore, not only did Mr. M. Pass on the communications he verbally encouraged the tenant to use these mails, tenants who were defaulting their rental agreement. I discovered this unprofessional breach upon the disclousure of court documents. 'I hope this helps with your case" Mr. M confirms to the tenant"! I have previously called out this agency for unprofessional conduct and a lack of due diligence. This unprofessional conduct being investigated needs for its clients to ensure their Data , Communications and Privacy is protected. Mr.M is still employed by the company.

I cannot commend Augstein enough for his outstanding professionalism and courteous conduct during property viewings with my mother. He displayed remarkable etiquette, patience, and knowledge, making the process seamless and reassuring. My mother, who has been viewing properties on my behalf, has often remarked on how rare it is to meet an estate agent with such a high level of respect and professionalism. Our experience with the Senior Lettings Manager, Sharmilla, was deeply disappointing Despite offering a strong application for a rental property — including a guarantor who fully met all income requirements and a willingness to pay 12 months' rent upfront — my application was dismissed due to a perceived lack of on-paper income to cover the rent. *I’d like to add for context I’m currently privately renting, paying £1900.* Being dismissed by the branch manager is entirely unfounded given the financial backing provided. It was shocking to witness a senior manager fail to understand or acknowledge the legitimacy of such an arrangement, which aligns with standard lettings procedures. The purpose of a guarantor and upfront rent payments is to secure the financial obligations of a tenancy. Sharmilla’s outright dismissal raises serious concerns about her understanding of the legal framework, policies, and ethical responsibilities involved in lettings. The situation left us feeling frustrated and undermined. A senior manager in such a role has a duty to offer informed and reasonable service, yet the approach we experienced reflected poor understanding, a lack of empathy, and a failure to adhere to basic industry practices. If senior management operates at this level of incompetence, how can clients have any trust in the wider agency? While I am grateful for the exceptional service provided by Augstein and the rest of the team, the unprofessional conduct and mishandling by the Senior Lettings Manager were overwhelming and detrimental to our overall experience. I strongly urge Goodfellows to invest in management training, particularly in legal and procedural knowledge, communication, and client empathy. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as the actions of senior management reflect directly on the reputation of the agency. Without addressing these issues, it will be difficult to place trust in Goodfellows as a reliable and professional lettings agency.

We moved out from their property to find out after 3 months that they are holding our deposit without any reasons and also not protecting our deposit legally. So, if you dont want to be in the same situation as us, spread the word as they are disgusting and careless!!!

United Kingdom | 28 April 2024Just a quick one Andrea McDonald is a lowlife person I’m a single mum Have a 4 years old little girl she string me along for a year I had no heating bath and rising damp for a year I have all emails and damp specialist reports to proof She has known about this for a year and doesn’t care clearly not like anyone else me I you human beings what kind of woman would allow a single mum and four-year-old girl to have multiple chest infections living in damp? The damp specialist said it’s one of the worst cases he’s ever seen and told me to move out immediately and go to the council with his report This is the company called Goodfellas estate agents which is the property manager. I will upload every email photo and report from survey reports from all different people that they’ve sent and then to top it off they sent me a section 21 to make me and my daughter homeless , bit of a vice do not ever use Goodfellas estate agents ever !!!!!

Their communication with costumers is very poor, they did not arrange many viewings, they did not say the truth a few times about some processes, they overpriced our rent and said they would guarantee it to be rented at that price in 2 weeks... Ot took 2 months and we had to decrease prices. I would never ecomend Goodfellows to anyone, nery pricey fees and very unreliable.

Impossible to contact the right people, everyone just passes you on to the next person who doesn't want to deal with the problem. They were nice until money swapped hands, then they became robotic and impossible to deal with. Our washing machine was broken for 3 months during winter and we had to constantly contact them without being given a solution. I will never use Goodfellows again
