This is a scam. Rented a car. When I was to pick up the car at 9am store was closed. At 0940 a guy came but they didnt have my car. Tried to give me at different car but wanted me to pay 15/25 or 45 ekstra in insurrance. And wanted 5.000 US$ in deposit. Ended up spending 3 hours and didnt get a car. The company charged me anyways for my prepaid car that they did’nt have. They look ok on trustpilot, but all thier bad reviews similar, so they probably male thier own good reviews. Ended up with retning with Europcar. Without any problems. Update jan 16 I wrote the company as they asked me but still no reply. But they were really fast with thiere reply here on trustpilot.

Reading some past reviews, apparently this issue is a common practice for these guys. In short, the problem is that they don't recognise any other insurance and they will always try to sell you their expensive insurance. I made the booking through economycarrentals.com, who by the way, now refuse to refund the initial payment that you make when you book, and bought from them a full insurance. Upon arrival to get the car, the guys from "America Car Rental" in Mexico didn't accept the full insurance that I had and wanted to sell me a very expensive insurance, and they told me that if I didn't buy their insurance, they wouldn't give me the car. They were very rude. Therefore, if you want to avoid some headaches and disappointment, first don't book through economycarrentals.com and second never ever go with "America Car Rentals".
