The paint arrived as described; it was easy to mix and apply! I used it on an exterior wall that needed a breathable finish.

Found a specialised paint at a fraction of the cost of a traditional lime wash paint and it looks great. But the reason for the 5 stars is the customer service. Had some questions on the application and had a great 5 minute chat which answered all my questions.

Extremely helpful. When they realised I am a novice they even phoned me to discuss my project, to offer advice and to check I had the correct products. I was impressed by how much time and effort went into my small order. The paint arrived amazingly quickly in just a couple of days, considering I live on the IOM where everything usually takes weeks! Very helpful company to deal with. I bought Super White Masonry paint as my supplier had ran out of Silicate paint, the results are excellent but its hard to work with compared to normal paint, once you get used to mixing, stirring every 2 minutes and getting the consistency right it goes on well. It gives an 'old fashioned' and chalky look to an old cottage.

I used this paint to disguise where a conservatory had previously been attached to my stone house. It was very effective when mixed with a pigment, making the scarring virtually invisible.

Excellent service from David - they were out of stock of an item I ordered but quickly offered an alternative solution. Including posting an additional batch of Skimcoat to make up a shortfall quickly and with no postage charge. 24 hour delivery on both consignments. Real pleasure to deal with and great to order from a real person rather than a faceless website and remote call centre.

The finish looks great though the finished colour (Lilly White in our case) is darker/pinker than the website colour suggests - of course this could just as easily be down to the colour rendering of my PC monitor. I would suggest ordering more than you expect to need and water down more than they suggest - certainly for the first coat, otherwise it's like spreading jam! We were applying to pebble dash so knew the coverage wouldn't be the same as a completely flat surface but until we watered it down more it only covered a fraction of what we expected. We did have a small problem with colour matching of one batch but Northern Paints and Coatings dealt with this very fast and professionally.
