United Kingdom | 04 January 2023Don't Join Macdonalds Portal unless you only like to play 9 holes in the winter. The winter matrix has recently been changed if you renew. One example is, if you want to play 9 holes at 1pm it costs you 2 points. If you want to play 18 holes at the same time it costs you 7 points (equivalent to £24.50). Much cheaper just to pay for each round - £20. I suppose you can book two rounds of 9 holes straight after each other but you will probably have to play the same 9 holes again. When I queried it with playmoregolf they said the matrix is correct and they could not find out that it cost £20 per round to book directly. How can this be? Surely that's not difficult to find out? I had to provide them with evidence but still no reply.

Struggled to use my flexible points due to lack of tee time availability and lost them all at renewal. Even booked just before expiry, course was not fully open so had to cancel but still lost those points to. If I hadn’t had to carry so many points over it’s debatable whether I would have renewed.
