Not patient oriented. Pushed for glasses at the start and during the tests. I have been previously diagnosed with macular degeneration and slight blurring in my right eye . I mentioned that to the optician. But no concern was shown by the optician only the push for glasses

I took my daughter who was 8 at the time to get a pair of glasses at the Tesco store in Shettleston . I decided on this store because I had recieved a good service when buying my own glasses there. Having worn glasses all my life I know how important it is to have a pair you really like when having to wear them all the time . My daughters prescription is high and I knew with certain frames this would mean thicker lenses. I realise there are certain things to take into consideration when getting a child glasses. But please don't publicise your wonderful range of childrens glasses then everytime the child picks a pair tell them they are to big or wont suit her and come up with literally 20 different excuses on why the frames she picked wasn't for her. She was bullied into a second pair of glasses she will never wear because of an opticians opinion. Doesn't a customer even if they are a child have the right to pick something they like especially if they have to wear them daily at school. I was bullied at school for wearing glasses, so I know how important it is that you like the glasses you have to wear . I was sure it was happening at the time but my daughter is a child and didnt feel confident to argue with adults and why should she have to ? She finally admitted the other day about 6 weeks after getting them that she didnt like the second pair. So I would advise any customer thinking of taking a child to Tesco opticians in Shettleston to think twice . If it had been possible to give this particular branch zero points that would have described our experience perfectly.

After nearly 2 years of wearing the glasses tesco said I needed I got my eyes tested again elsewhere and find I never needed the glasses in the 1st case. Also they failed to pick up on acute glaucoma, which I now need to have surgery for but would have been treatable if picked up sooner. I will never use them again, ever!

This is the nearest optician to where I live. They've recently changed ownership and we've used them in the last 5 years or so. Made an appointment, with a 2-3 weeks waiting period -- today was the day. I don't normally like lunchtime appointments as the location is near to home, and not near to work, I asked for an early or late appointment but none were available on short notice. Arrived, admittedly, 3 minutes late. Receptionist / doctor still dealing with another customer. As soon as they were free got told to rebook as "my slot had gone" and "we will not have time for you". Given local traffic conditions (local Cambridgeshire people will have heard of the roadworks on the A14) this seems unreasonably harsh. Will not do business with Tesco's opticians again. Not recommended.

Having had to take my glasses back I can not describe how rude the optician was. Told me it was down to miscommunication. I am not the optician!!! I have never had the problem before in 17 years I have had glasses. The manager was not much better. Very stoney faced. Hey ho. ... plenty of opticians to choose from these days

Tesco Opticians in Barnstaple. Booked an eye test knowing that I was defenetely going to buy glasses with them and the appointment was cancelled (fine as this things happens, not a problem) rebooked a new appointment (been the next date available in over 2 weeks time) and just been called as that appointment has been cancelled as well. To be honest a waist of time when you are trying to make the most of your days off. Obviously I have not rebooked an appointment again, probably will get cancelled again!

I had recently booked an eye test at Tesco Opticians (the Orpington store) and had such a good experience! I was amazed to find that the eye test was free, and even more satisfied to learn I could have 2 pairs of prescription glasses for just over £80, knowing other places changed much more. The manager, Ronnie, was also kind enough to write me a personal letter explaining my need for the glasses so I could claim it back from the company I work for. Couldn’t recommend everyone there enough! Professional and friendly throughout.

Tesco opticians in store are fantastic ! Delivering quality, fast and effective service. Tesco online opticians are the exact opposite slow, unhelpful and impersonal. AVOID !!!

Used Tesco before with no complaints. However after choosing a frame, was told that it was marked with the wrong price. The Staffs attitude was they come in already marked can't do anything about it. Wasn't happy but went ahead. Being a pensioner this is an expensive item and I have to work to a budget. Will not be going back.
