UPDATE: Long story Short: my claim was initially Managed by the UK assistance. After 4 months they were still asking for the same documents I already sent twice, then they completely stopped responding. In January I filed a complain and after that the Italian branch took over the claim, which was closed and refunded in 10 Days. The way the Italian branch dealt with the complain would deserve a clear 5, but it cannot completely cancel the initial inefficiency. OLD REVIEW: In late August, I had to curtail the trip because of the death of my father. I immediately sent all the receipts and detailed all the costs that I had. They asked them again a few weeks after , and I sent them. I've been asked for them again in December (sent again). Every time it takes 3 weeks (at least) to get an answer from them. It just seems that they are trying not to pay.

Nothing went wrong but an insurance company should be judged on claims handling, not ease of accepting premia IMO. I´ll award 5 stars if I ever make a claim which is well handled.

All the positive reviews for this company relate to the ease of purchasing. All the negative reviews relate to their habit of not paying out on claims. My wife had a UTI and was treated by a hospital in Austria costing around 150 Euros. I had an excess of Euros 75, so a relatively small claim. They required documentation from regular GP to certify and detail ANY treatment that she had had for ANY medical condition in the twelve months prior. Try getting that from the NHS. Similarly they require a full report from the doctor in Austria. I understand the need to prevent fraud but this is cynical because they know that the cost of getting this information is higher than the claim

Il 10/04/2022 mi è stato rubato uno zainetto in una stazione degli autobus in Cile. Lo zainetto era a 2cm da me sulla stessa panchina dove sedevo. Un furto con grande destrezza avvenuto in pochi secondi, probabilmente eseguito da abili professionisti. Ho denunciato alla polizia locale ed avvertito tempestivamente l'assicurazione GLOBELINK che mi ha girato alla COLLINSONS. Ho dovuto scrivere centinaia di mail all'assicurazione e ogni volta mi rispondeva con domande o richieste sempre diverse (possibile che non abbiano un protocollo con tutte le domande del caso in una sola volta?). Alla fine, il 30/08/2022 (quasi 5 MESI DOPO) mi scrive il Sig. Aaquilah Bohardien della COLLINSONS dicendomi che non vogliono risarcire il sinistro perché non viene rimborsato il furto di BAGAGLI INCUSTUDITI!!! Il bagaglio era a 2cm da me! Tutt'altro che incustodito! Ovviamente contesto e scrivo altre centinaia di Mail e alla fine il 10/10/2022 (6 MESI DOPO IL FURTO) lo stesso Aaquilah Bohardien ribadisce che non intendono pagare perché il bagaglio per lui era incustodito sostenendo che: “Nella tua precedente email a hai menzionato che il tuo zaino era a pochi centimetri da te al momento del furto, il che significava che avresti visto il ladro prendere il tuo zaino.” Continuo a scrivere alla COLLINSONS che non mi risponde più. Had a claim with them from February 2022 still not resolved, they do not honor their terms and conditions, and customer service is really poor they keep sending you back to the assistance company as not their job to deal with their customers. Will never buy insurance from this company again.

Globelink has looked after my friend and myself on our holidays to Europe. The staff are extremely helpful, very pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable. I'm impressed with the efficiency of the staff and company whenever I've phoned for a new policy and when I had to cancel. I don't ever have to wait long on the phone. When I had to cancel there wasn't any problem at all, no fees, no delays just reimbursed my account. Thank you Globelink.
