After disappointing service with delivery times, Barbour customer service has let me down by not processing my refund after 10 days. This is after receiving a call and confirming that I want a refund. Really let down by a British icon, no excuses for terrible customer service.

Shocking customer service. Sent my coat off for repair. They had my coat for 6 weeks and then sent it back to someone else’s address. I’ve sent them several emails and also messaged them on social media but no response. I’ve spent a lot of money on a coat and now it’s lost. Barbour please sort asap Barbour have now contacted me and the issue has been resolved. Thanks for the call back

Stopped at a local Orvis store to look at Barbour waxed coats…..limited selection right off the bat….maybe the time of year. I couldn't commit. On 2nd visit, I selected the Ashby as it fit me the best….I’m on the slim side. They didn’t have it in olive (most popular color) so they had to order it. Told it would be 4-5 days via FEDEX…..received the coat 4 days later. Took it out of the box and tried it on…fit perfectly. Then I noticed it was made in Moldova. On inspection I noticed that there were several threads that had pierced the tartan flannel from the back side of the flannel and then back through again…sort of like they were trying to fasten buttons on the flannel….but without the buttons. I don’t know how they stitch the flannel to the back shell of the coat, but they missed and it was unacceptable. I also noticed that the stitching along the zipper was not symmetric side-to-side. On one side, the stitching overshot the two pieces of fabric being stitched…..that’s when I stopped inspecting the coat. I wish I had taken pictures to share with you all. I called an actual Barbour store and was told that Barbour only makes the “classics” in the UK. Everything else they sell is made elsewhere. I returned the coat within 2 hours of receiving it. During my first two visits to the store, the salesperson had told me “it’s an investment.” No wonder Barbour celebrates their repair shops so. If I buy a waxed coat, it will not be a Barbour. Buyer’s beware.

I had a product returns issue which was handled in a very timely and efficient manner by Barbour and because of this I will very likely purchase more goods from them in due course - no complaints from me.

Purchased a collar for my dog for Christmas to replace one he has worn without any issues for 3 years. Went for a walk and when we returned the collar was missing. I know it was put on correctly so obviously there was a fault with it. The walk was approx 5 miles and although we have searched as much as we can the collar is missing. Barbour wont even consider replacing it because I cant return the faulty one. Cost me over £30 as had to purchase another collar (Not Barbour!) and pay for a new id tag as this was on the faulty collar. So for the sake of £20 they have lost what i would consider a loyal customer.

Ordered a pair of boots for my wife on the 3rd December 2017, I checked my emails for confirmation which I received and all I had to do was to wait for a dispatched email which never happened so on 12th December I phoned Barbour customer service and the lady said they had a stock problem but said I would receive them before Christmas. I waited until the 19th and emailed customer service about my issue to which they replied to me on the 21st to say they had none left in stock but they would send me a complimentary scarf for my troubles which again has not arrived. I have never dealt with such an badly run unorganised company it's horrendous. Stay well clear!!!

I purchased a pair of Barbour shoes from a Barbour authorized retailer a month ago and wore them carefully on just a few occasions. The soles started to come off within a month, I emailed Barbour (since it's their product) with a picture attached and they replied with a standard "we take your comments into consideration", but there's nothing they can do. They have to take responsibility for their own products, but they don't care. Avoid; Barbour is a waste of money and they won't do anything to retain customers.

Second order now. Standard delivery = next day. Great service, lovely packaging and a definite case of 'you get what you pay for' in terms of very good material quality.

This review is not so much about the website but the quality of the jackets. I bought my first Barbour coloured in Red a few months ago, I thought this jacket would last me years. Throughout the course of the next few months the jacket started to take on of a black dye stain all over the outside and ended up looking so grubby I cannot be worn. As I haven't worn the jacket too much, I know that this is some sort of issue with the jacket and not through any fault of my own. It is quite clear that the stain is a dye like substance and not general dirt/muck. I sent the jacket back to Barbour and what has ensued as just been a stress/ waste of time with them taking absolutely no liability for the fault, accusing me of getting some sort of grime on the jacket and it was even suggesting I had possibly had the jacket re-waxed and that was what was wrong with it! After 4 months of wear!! Absolutely awful product quality and the customer service is even worse. Now i'm left with a £250 jacket, 5 months old and cannot be worn. Do not waste your money on a Barbour jacket.

Paid £9.95 before 3 pm for next day postage on a Friday, well next day is not a Saturday as you would expect! Especially if your paying that much money for it! no it's a Monday with this company! When I phoned up they said it clearly states it on the website. It does in small print if read the delivery and returns section, but the next day delivery if you Oder before 3 pm is advertised in big bold print which is why I used them. Beware shoppers don't get caught out like I did, just warning people.

Be very careful when using this service as the website form is misleading-I ended up paying considerably more.Quite surprised-love the clothes but customer service doesn't compare to,for instance,Boden.

I was bought 'Barbour ' boots as a gift. I used them for wet weather dog walking. What a waste of money. Within a month the stitching had split in the lining of one and the outer material caused a nasty bleeding blister on my heel so I always had to wear two pairs of socks . This week one of the boots split across the instep and I have stuck 'duck tape ' across as a temporary seal. I emailed Barbour and had a quick polite reply. Did I receive a suggestion to take them into a store or post them back? No photo evidence and a receipt needed. They were a gift so I fell at the first hurdle. I shall go back to buying cheap, hard wearing boots at an agricultural supply company. They last 10 years. Barbour boots are obviously meant just for posing in.

I have no idea what the product itself is like because I am still waiting for it to arrive. The reason I'm still waiting for it to arrive is because DPD, the courier Barbour use are an absolute joke. A few days ago, when the parcel was supposed to be delivered, we waited in all day, only to receive a text late that evening saying they had tried to deliver our parcel but no one was in! They said they left a calling card: they didn't. At no point did they try and contact us, despite having our mobile number. We rearranged delivery for the next day and the exact same turn of events happened. It's funny that we have never experienced any issues with any other courier in the past. And if, on the rare occasion someone has been unable to locate our house, they have called, and we have given them directions. And, unsurprisingly, our parcel has been delivered. I will not be buying from any company who use DPD as their courier in future.

Earlier this year I bought a couple of pairs of Barbour shoes (which are excellent, but not the subject of this review). After many months of daily wear; the laces were wearing out. I've tried to source some new ones near where I live and from the store where I bought the shoes - no result from either . So, I contacted Barbour - "No problem sir; what colour were the shoes". I told the nice lady; who found some; popped them in the post - and they arrived 2 working days later. Well done
