United Kingdom | 25 October 2021I was bought a Barbour waterproof jacket by my wife, as a present. She chose Barbour because she wanted the best, and price was a secondary consideration. But almost immediately I had difficulty with the main zip. The final straw was when I was caught in a storm, and arrived home soaking wet. My wife complained on my behalf and the original response was unsatisfactory in that I was given a lecture on how to do up a zip. I have three degrees, including a PhD, and have been doing up zips for probably longer than the Barbour advisor has been on the planet. But Barbour redeemed themselves, following further helpful discussions between my wife and Barbour’s representative, Karen: Barbour quickly provided postage for the return of the faulty jacket and replaced it by one of my choosing, which cost slightly more. My final observation is that I think some plastic zips do not match the quality of the products they are attached to. Yet a zip that is both reliable and easy to operate is a fundamental requirement in a quality product. Dr DM Sharp PhD.

United Kingdom | 15 October 2021I used Barbour in South Shields to repair and rewax my coat. The job was completed beautifully and returned in exactly 1 week. The repair and rewax cost £50, included delivery, and has returned my coat to a new condition. The coat is perfect or me, and one which I doubt I will ever need to replace. Fantastic service at a fair price.

United Kingdom | 04 October 2021I have recently purchased 5 Barbour Men's Jackets, however I do not feel very comfortable having read a lot of posts here. Even the waxed ones and watertight fashion ones are very light to wear - my first impressions are too lightweight. Time will tell, fingers and everything else are now crossed in hope. For clarification, I have always found Trustpilot reviews to be spot on in the past.

Germany | 30 September 2021Jacke ok, sieht soweit gut verarbeitet aus. Preis überteuert. Fast 360 Euro für eine Übergangsjacke. Der absolute Horror allerdings die Größe. Ich trage normalerweise Größe L, 42. Bin relativ klein mit 160 cm Die Größe der Jacke Utility soll UK 16 sein, was in Europa laut Google 44 entspricht. Sie ist zu kurz, zu eng die Arme zu eng (habe normale Arme). Bei Körpergröße 160 cm geht sie mir nur bis zum Rücken. Also 2 Nummer größer wie regulär ist immer noch zu klein. Was denkt sich die Firma Barbour? Welche Frauen sollen das tragen??? Ich frage mich, wie Größe M dann ausfällt und ob ein Kind da rein passt. Keine Kaufempfehlung!

United Kingdom | 29 September 2021Bought a pair of Barbour boots 4 months ago and 2 months later the soles were falling off. Selfridges replaced them but 2 months later I was at the same stage again. Selfridges have just replaced them again. Prior to this I have had Barbour boots for years with no issue, literally the soles eventually wore through they had been worn so much. Barbour have obviously changed their manufacturing, the name no longer stands for quality yet they charge for it. I wonder how long my current pair will last?

My jacket lasted a year before it began to fray on the cuffs and holes started appearing where you would not expect them to ie, on the forearm, around the waist, by the zip? What rubbish - This company is supposed to be by Royal Appointment. They don't even make jackets / coats in the UK anymore and the material has no longevity but the price is still high. A waste of money - My Barbour coat is now in the bin. Would not buy from this company again. Too many expensive shops in posh locations and no quality to support the brand that once was. Goodbye to another British Company outsourcing manufacture.

United Kingdom | 13 September 2021Recently brought Barbour wellies and already the lining inside has disintegrated around the back leaving the heel area exposed. This ripped material now bunches up and rubs constantly. Really poor for the money you pay

United Kingdom | 01 September 2021Bought a pair of boots loved the design and wearing them but the sole came off in a month. Barbour investigated the issue and offered me credit to buy a new set I chose a different style of boot and again loved them but unfortunately again after a short period of time the boot showed structural issues so returned again to Barbour. Yes again they offered me credit but at this point lost faith in their products which is sad because the designs of the boots are nice. Won't be using them again.

United Kingdom | 19 August 2021Absolutely fell in love with stylish looks and fit, however terrible material used on the international jacket. The condensation makes you sick. Absolutely soaks you!! I kid you not never buy one of these what a waste of £220 on the other hand Atleast it’s hardly used after a year. Just can’t wear it ni matter what the weather.

United Kingdom | 06 August 2021Had to return a coat that I purchased after not even a year as the zip was faulty. Was told prior that if they couldn’t repair then I would be offered a replacement. They couldn’t repair so offered the replacement but didn’t have the exact coat that I had so I was asked to chose another one at the same price. The coat wasn’t purchased directly through Barbour and they didn’t have to offer me anything so the fact they did was kind of them, hence the reason I’m not giving 1*. However, most of the coats were out of stock so they sent me a gift card. Every time I’ve been on the website since January (I wanted a winter coat to replace) a lot of items have been out of stock (it seems once it’s gone, it’s gone and they do not restock). Waited for spring/summer to get a lightweight coat, again a lot of items out of stock. I finally found something I like which is in stock and you can’t even use the gift cards online! There are no stores even remotely near to where I live so now I will have to travel god knows how far to spend it. It’s a lot of money to just throw away so I’m extremely disappointed

Traveled to pick it up and was informed that it was not there and that it had been sent to their factory for the treatment which will take??? they couldn’t say.Absolute rubbish customer service

United Kingdom | 10 July 2021I had some moccasin slippers bought for me at the end of October. By February the soles had split and the lining had worn away. This was not the quality I would expect from a brand such as Barbour and I am very dissatisfied and disappointed by this as I thought paying for a good brand would mean quality and longevity.
